Hi,
Been using this phone for the past 1 year (exactly) & I did recommend it to any1 wanting a feature packed cell in this range. The amount of available softwares make it fun to use & you always fell like having it in your hand for one reason or the other. I have also installed the Garmin XT navigation on it & also the Sygic Maps 9 (last week) - they both are phenomenal in their own ways. There are a load of other softwares in OVI store as well. It could do better with a higher performance camera, but you cant argue with its other impressive features. The touchscreen's been brilliant so far & i haven't used the stylus as fingers do the job perfectly. Although the iPhone is great in its own little way, the 5800 is clearly the winner hands down due the free softwares that are availabe unlike the iPhone for which you have to shell out for every touch u make. :P The 5800 was rightly quoted as the "iPhone Killer"! Kudos!

Robin027, 29 May 2010Hi guys....I'm luking 4 a phone with all features---decent ... moreits just the phone .. or if u r willing to spend just a bit more thers the n97 MINI . both these are excellent, & they do have excellent navigation software options such as garmin xt & sygic mobile 9 etc. available on the net.

I just bought my 1st 5800xm phone. It comes with latest firmware which is 5.0. I quite like this phone except its camera, A bit dull compare to SE hp.

Clear some points-
-The touchscreen is very responsive and accurate. No problems at all.
- Fring can be downloaded from fring.com. It allows Skype video calls to any skype user on PC or Phone.
-Video call camera is very good and quit smooth.
- The Main Camera is very good in daylight. Photos are good enough to print. Camera not so good at night.
- Quite thick phone but fits perfectly in the hand.
- No big software issues as long as you update firmware.
- Spb shell greatly increase UI and work smoothly.

Ive just searched n google that there s a skype app for 5800 from fring 3rd party app i think. Does it really work? I mean s this reliable to make free calls to an0ther skype user but in pc? I wanna buy ds phone so i can call my famly n d philippnes for free using wifi or 3G as im workng abroad. Please 5800'ers can u help me find out abt? hve u tried to maximize its os usng ds skype app free calls? How abt youtube video bufferng? Is it fast withn 3 seconds? My s g705 s ultimately fast. My expectati0n s quiet high to ds ph0ne. Pls help me pls...

So touch screen is n0t really a big issue is it? Coz i dont wnt to use stylus prferred to use my thumb al0ne. As u said its good but cnt b compared to 5530..Other than that i need to find out whether skype app works for free calls.
Is there any 5800 user here that hve tried skype app to make free calls to another skype pc user or an0ther m0bile? Pls let me know pls! Pls! Definitely il gonna buy ds ph0ne ASAP.I wont mind d bulky size. Im quiet alm0st there fillng up my queries by readng m0re reviews here. Many thanks for ur reply..

i just got 5800 two days back... brilliant touch screen performance... awesome audio and video quality... just lovin it... supports additional applications...
headset volume is little low.. overall its a wonderfull mobile..
