lovelymarie, 29 May 2010Thanks for reply but dnt know ur name..anyway tnx again! Ki... moreif you compare comments b4 1st march10 and comments after 1st apr 2010. there r very2 minimal complaints about xm5800software, cos we all updated to v50.v 50 released on 23/3/10 if not mistaken.
i go for zitron or avaxx warranty for my set to be safer cos i can go to nokia centre anytime. nokia centre in Malaysia is good they answer my email, query etc.
learn to appreciate the 5800 its will care for u too. cheers

Hi guys,
Is it true that d touch screen of ds ph0ne s irresponsive compare to 5530?
Also may main issue hre is i want to buy ds phone coz im thinking that skype free calls application might work on it? Is it? Im workng abroad and regularly makng international calls to philippines. And no time sit on my pc at home as im really bz at work. I always rely on my phone to stay online.Im thnkng f could buy a pair of ds for my wife too then we can talk thru skype via 3G HSDPA or wifi. Pls help me im stl n d mid of confusion which one to buy...Please is there someone here who had maximized the use of ds phone when comes to internet voice calls usng skype app. Does skype free calls really works for ds phone ? Thank you...

of course is "bigger" than your present phone.. just try the real set in your hand at any shop. then it'll be easier 4 u to decide. or just try fr any of your friend who is using this mobile.
i've feel lucky for having this set. i bought it in sept09 to replace my 2003 pocket computer. cos i need the cam n video cam. i able to purchace the quickoffice n adobe reader at very good discouted price. no regrets 4 me buying this set.

I am an unfortunate owner of Nokia 5800. From the first day I was unsure about the claims of the salesman and I did the wrong decision to go for this phone instead of a HTC. It's really very slow at times, not reliable as I have to get the first handset replaced after a black out threw me out of work for almost three weeks. Thanks to the unfriendly and adament behaviour of Nokia customer care which never replaced the second handset after it started giving me problems in net connectivity due to a burnt USB port. No respite inspite of the money wasted in the extended warranty. I still curse the day when I purchased this handset and above that salesman who in order to make money gave me a headache for so long.
Never go for this troublesome piece of electronics If looking for a good touchscreen handset then I recommend HTC and in high range it's iphone.

Ds should be availble in nokiA support sn't it? Pls cn u helpl me how to update d firmware? My only concern now bfore I buy ds ph0ne is the thickness. Coz its quiet bulky...mmm...:-(

-5800 is almost half the price of Vivaz.
-5800 has better sound quality, specially exterior.
-5800 gets free Voice navigation.
The Vivaz does have many good points such as HD recording and and better camera.
Still it cost almost the double the price of the 5800.
