Did anyone use this phone with 16GB memcard?!
Is Nokia5800XM still good in using 16GB memory card?

what is v50 firmware and what's the use of it... sorry but i'm not a techie person can someone discuss it to me in a simplified manner... i've been using my 5800 fone since october and i'm quite unsatisfied specially recently all the photos taken last may 23 was corrupted i dunno know how and why it happened and what's wrong with it. Quite disappointed coz photos was taken from bora w/ my family... grrr
can anyone help me... tnx

My 5800 is currently running the V50 firmware and I have to say, it works almost flawlessly.
-It had never crashed when running legitimate apps such as the google maps, Nokia Apps, and all proper non-cracked apps.
-However, when running cracked apps or apps that were not designed for the phone, sometimes the app does crash. The actual phone almost never crashes, even when the app crashes, you can go into the task manager and shut down the problematic app and everything is back to normal.
- Although the RAM is only 128MB, my phone can easily run about 15 apps together without any crashing and you can easily and quickly change between them. (Quite good multitasking)
-In earlier firmware the touchscreen did have some problems. However, from V30 upwards the screen is very responsive and with the kinetic scrolling update through out the system, it got even better.
-Yes it runs Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5
ARM 11 434 MHz processor.
(only 300 MHz something before v20 though)
-The Music player and video player run very well and the music and sound quality is excellent.
-Mine almost never crashes or restarts.
Obviously there is a big problem in your friend 5800 and should get it fixed properly.
Some more underrated facts about this phone.
- It can run DIVX / XVID (.avi) video files though Smart Movie
- The Skyfire browser brings Flash 10.1 videos. (Iphone and most Android phones still does not have this)
- The SPB shell greatly enhances the User Interface.
- Free Voice Navigation and maps.
Furthermore, you can get no other smartphone with all these feature for a price as cheap as the 5800.

my frnd using this mobile n i found some promblems in this--
-start hanging when it runs any software
-difficult to handel its touch screen
-this mobile contains
Symbian OS v9.4, Series 60 rel. 5
ARM 11 434 MHz processor
but how to use them it does'nt know
-cannot run music files if run than in very fast speed
-start turn off automatically n many more
my frnd has given his mobile in nokia service centre for repairing n nokia service centre has made a expense of 2500/- but it has still same problems
so if anybody is happy with this handset please answer my question
