The thing is it could not filter duplicate entries inside the phone book. example: PersonA has a tel no.: 123 and PersonAa has a tel no.: 123... Nokia will get confused which to display and would opt to display just the number. Check if you have duplicate entries... Hope this helps.

Keith, 28 Mar 2010This phone just crashed on me last night. It just does not... moreRemove the memorycard and switch it on. Once u come to the homescreen insert it. I have the same problem, happens wen u hav too muchof data on the mem card. :)

guys I have a query-
What all data can we sync with the help of PHONE SWITCH function?
Does it includes syncing messages too?
Can we sync with s60v3 phones?
Also, do you people experience any type of problem using it or it works like a charm?
Please guide me as I'm planning to buy another symbian phone, so wants to know if data on both phones can be synced and kept updated or not.

I am using the Nokia 5230 .
I have noticed a str... moreit normal bro,,because in c5 is running symbian v3,and nokia 5230/5800v.40 is symbian v.4.
i had that problem...but if you want a calendar entries appears you must select a shortcut bar,and if u want the contact bars with any widgets select a contact bar.

This phone just crashed on me last night. It just does not boot up. Stays on the boot up screen that says Nokia.
It's the first handset I've had that crashed. Terrible. I am not impressed with Nokia's quality.

when i connect my old n82 tv output wire in 5800 it ntg happen even it show tvout connected but tv screen is blue only n even i cant hear sound i dont understand how ur 5800 tv output work..well should i buy diff tv output wire..on backside of 5800 box it was writen thats this model doesnt support tv output.

Yesterday I went in 1 of the well known mall here in the Phil., and I saw that there is a new casing or housing now for the 5800 and it is no longger a plastic w/ red, blue or white lining it is now a silver in black that is more elegant compare to the previous design, and this is a good job Nokia, 5800 is like now an N-series phone with XM capabilities

for all those who has a problem on how to update ur phone to v40. just go to nokia care center and they will update it.. mine is v.40..

Finally, some light at the end of tunnel!!!!
My Hard reset worked and resolved the problem "Menu: Memory full. Please close some applications....".
Thank you very much for suggesting.
\Here are the steps that might be useful for people having similar problems.
1) backup all contents (contacts, notes, calendar, user momory items in phone, all other things.) into Ovi backup file.
2) Eject memory card.
3) Switch off the phone
4) Hold the RED+GREEN+Camera+ POwer ON. (it's really tough to handle with 4 fingers though!) Watch for Nokia handshake. Release all buttons after few seconds after handshake.
5) your phone mem will be 100% erased and reset to factory settings (memory & SIm card wont be effected)
6) Now connect the phone to PC and from ovi, restore the data again (select the same backup)
7) Insert mem card in. Restart to make sure it works perfect.
