why are you comparing the camera quality by mega pixel????
don't yo know that mp is just the size of the image!!!
so maybe the reason why they are buying 12mp because they want bigger pics...

Hi. Can anybody tell me that after upgrading the nokia 5800 firmware to v40, does smartmovie v4.15 works well or not?
I am asking this because i hav read it in some blogs that it (smartmovie) crashes or phone restarts while changing video from portrait to landscape mode. It had happened to those people after f/w upgrade.
Can anyone confirm this here on gsmarena? Is it true ? Please help.

Help Please!
I am trying to back up my files in file manager and It keeps telling me "Memory Full, Close some applications and try again" "error occurred, Operation cancelled"
I deleted EVERYTHING on my Memory Card and Also closed all applications. Nothing Works! I even took out and put in my memory card but that still did not do anything. HELPPPPP PLEASE :(

meet, 20 Feb 2010im looking for good phone for music n smsing most so im con... moreGo for the 5800, i have used both 5800 as well as n79, i presently have e72 and 5800, if you are more in for e-mail and messaging go in for e72 or e71 (cheaper but lacking in some features), nokia 5800 for multimedia, very good and loud sound quality, good screen for viewing movies, good camera in natural daylight, i see people commenting about poor camera, i will say that in this price band, it is a clear winner, do not spend more money for a higher specced camera phone, but rather get yourself a digital camera from a reputed brand like canon, no mobile camera can even stand close to even the most basic canon a470 in terms of image quality, canon's pictures taken at 2megapixel setting are far superior to even 12 mp cameraphones, so just dont fall for the megapixel trap. N79's camera is almost similar in results to 5800, i found skin colours in 5800 to be more natural. So between n79 and 5800xm, i would suggest 5800 all the way, i have been using it for 1 yr, no problems at all.

hay guys, wot do u think about nokia 5230 compared to 5800, i think it is a good competitor regardless the camera and the wifi, and the price is too less., plz feed me back since im plannin to buy one of them, i can leave the wifi, but the camera of both have th same camera plz ny body tel me.,

This model was the lowest quality phone i ever used in my whole life. Trade in after two weeks, up-sad until now.

am sulehry, 19 Feb 2010its an excellent phone but most of the time my phone hangs ... moreonli i can say this update your software that will help you a lot because i had this phone, my nature is if there is another software i just upadate that. i cant give surity that will help you can try that check the update from nokia website.
