My best Nokia phone thus far. This is my 15th Nokia phone and I am very satisfied with the performance of the 5800XM.

Hi Guys! Can someone help me with this problem? The LED of my 5800 keeps on blinking within 15 seconds even though there is no new notification of message, missed call or email.
How do I switch this LED off???

There is not even a single phone currently in market which has got these many features 5800 has with this price range. I bet.

Hi GSMarena, please include the TV out option back in specs, its not removed, and you must be knowing abt it from oct 2009 models. only sep 2009 sets are released w/o tv out feature

i think all round its a good enough phone, its good value for money and the speakers, music playing and video recording are good...its also very reliable, i am forever dropping phones but this one keeps working...ok the camera for stills aint great, the battery lifes awful and so's the web browser and symbian as a whole isnt great...but i'd still have it over my old Sony ericsson c905...because it just works

n one more thing battery back up is also not good. it drains in just one day. On an average it just give 3-4 hours talk time without listening songs. If you are working on your phone for constant 3-4 hrs battery get empty in juz half day. dont trust nokia ad they say this phone give 35 hrs music play , 5 hrs talktime this all is false..

I've baught nokia5800 15 days ago..u can see functions of this phone in specifications. I am here just to share my experience with nokia5800. This is a very good phone . All features work properly without any kind of problem.The common problem of multimedia handsets is they get hang but i didnt face any kind of problem in this phone in these 15 dayz. Music sound is excellent, loudspeaker voice is also loud , browsing speed (internet) is also good. very sensitive touch screen u dont have to put pressure on screen as it have very good technology. video clarity is superb, ive never seen this kind of clarity ever before in any other phone.The only DRAWBACK is PICTURE QUALITY . since it has carl ziess optics camera 3.2 mp even then its picture quality is not good. its equal to an average camera quality. I am very disappointed when I saw the picture quality of the phone. After spending such a big amount for one of the best phone of nokia I am not happy with picture quality, rest is all good.
This phone have all the features which N97 have. NOKIA can do something better n improve picture quality.

Didi, 14 Dec 2009is a good fone to have. I am due for an upgrade so im shop... moreif ur not looking for a high resolution high quality camera in ur phone - actually which is something u wont get with any type of phone other than buying a good mp camera , then this phone is just for u .

may, 14 Dec 2009hey pipz...just want to ask how to use the internet on this... moreprobably u have brought a faulty mobile or a phone with a faulty battery . or u didnt charge it completly once u brought it and started using the phone right away . it takes me 2 and a half hours or 3 hours at least to charge my battery when it drains cuz unlike my n81 the 5800 got a huge battery which means it long lives in the battery life than any other phone . yep my 5800 stays up with battery for about 2 days maximum under heavy usage . like listening to music and taking a few calls plus surfing the net sometimes with opera for mobile application . and the brightness level of the screen is set to a very clear level plus bluetooth and wifi are always turned off cuz i dont use those always . i suggest u look if u have turned off wifi and bt in ur handset then wait till the battery drains till the end and recharge it for at least 3 hours . if the mobile shows that ur battery is full keep it without unplugging it for another half an hour or so . plus dont disconnect from adaptor while on charge . if those steps doesnt work get help from the dealer who u brought it from .
