may, 14 Dec 2009hey pipz...just want to ask how to use the internet on this... moreprobably u have brought a faulty mobile or a phone with a faulty battery . or u didnt charge it completly once u brought it and started using the phone right away . it takes me 2 and a half hours or 3 hours at least to charge my battery when it drains cuz unlike my n81 the 5800 got a huge battery which means it long lives in the battery life than any other phone . yep my 5800 stays up with battery for about 2 days maximum under heavy usage . like listening to music and taking a few calls plus surfing the net sometimes with opera for mobile application . and the brightness level of the screen is set to a very clear level plus bluetooth and wifi are always turned off cuz i dont use those always . i suggest u look if u have turned off wifi and bt in ur handset then wait till the battery drains till the end and recharge it for at least 3 hours . if the mobile shows that ur battery is full keep it without unplugging it for another half an hour or so . plus dont disconnect from adaptor while on charge . if those steps doesnt work get help from the dealer who u brought it from .

          the nokia 5800 is the best phone in the woled you cant beet it it is class it beets the W395 totley lol

                  this phone has good sensitivity, so those with nails.. esp girls.. u will not have problem with it.. plus you can change the SMS way.. like from full qwerty to alpha numerica, that's a plus point.. the wireless and the huge screen is good for surfing too...

                  HOWEVER, aft using for a few mnths. this phone starts to lag super terribly.. opening a sms will take prob 3 mins? And when i have a sms coming in while typing.. i am unable to continue typing or even pick up a incoming call.. VERY VERY bad..

                  plus the camera of this phone is not very good too..

                      If you have free and open wireless Wi-Fi connection near by, than is easiest way for you to start it, start "web" write the web address where you want to go surfing and "go" then there will pop-up request for the connection mode, and chose "easyWLan" or your GPRS network name, that's simple as it is, good luck.

                            guys m havng a problem wid my 5800...wenever i restart my phone, it says "Unable to complete installation from memory card, go to app manager"..how can i get rid of dis?? is there any problem wid my phone?? please reply at the earliest...

                              hey pipz...just want to ask how to use the internet on this phone? and for how many days does your battery lasts? i got this phone last week and i'm wondering why my batt. last for about one day only but im not using it too much..hope you can help me bout my prob.on my phone...thanks...

                                  I have had this phone for a couple of days now. Tested almost all features of the phone.

                                  Here are some insights

                                  1) Touch Screen - Recommend using the stylus or pluck. Fingers feel responsive if you have not experienced any high end touch phones before. I would give it a 7/10 for finger, 9/10 for stylus use

                                  2) Interface - Not so advanced as the latest touch phones, but gets the job done in a decent way. Bit counfusing with double/single touches at different places, but should not be tough to get used to. I would give it a 7/10.

                                  3) Connectivity
                                  WLAN - Excellent. Have read revies about people not being able to use WLAN on this phone. Only 2 possible reasons - a) Bad signal b) Wireless Security (Encrypted Signal OR IP Filter on Wireless router). Would give it 9/10

                                  3G - Do not have 3G so not tested it yet.

                                  Bluetooth - File transfer works fine. Have tried to pair it with my SE bluetooth headset. sadly have not been able to do it. maybe there is a way out, still researching. Would give it a 7/10 though.

                                  GPRS/EDGE - Good. would give it an 8/10

                                  USB - Excellent. Remember to use safely remove device when connected to a PC, so as to avoid any memory card corruption. Would give it a 9/10

                                  4) Applications
                                  Very Good, except the music apps which are not so responsive. Some very good free apps from ovi store.Would give it an 8/10.

                                  5) Customization
                                  Themes are available off the internet, which are very good. Your handwriting may go blank on application of some themes, that is because the forecolor is set to white. So set it to some neutral colour like grey, and it would show up. Would give it an 8/10.

                                  6) Browsing
                                  I somehow did not like the inbuilt browser, better check opera mobile for smartphones. It is a much better browser. Would give the browser experience a 6/10 for inbuilt browser and 8/10 with opera mobile, which is free btw.

                                  7) Music - Excellent. But not with the bundled headphones. get a good substitute in ear headphones. I used the ones from my old walkman and they are exceelent. Would give it a 9/10

                                  8) Video - Excellent. Check out the web for tutorials on how to convert any video to a compatible 5800 video. Choose MP4 with 720kbps for the video and 128kbps for the audio and you will know what i mean. Would give it a 9/10

                                  9) Calender/Notes Very Good. Would give it an 8/10

                                  10) File Manager Very Good. Would give it an 8/10.

                                  Last but not the least, for the price there is no phone which comes even close. Very good visual appeal. Very responsive for the features it holds. Some glitches here and ther, but they should be off with a firmware update i hope. Using the v30 firmware btw.

Don't know a website for it off head but it is a very good application...
