Guys, if someone want to have fun with QT software for this phone with some kinetics and graphics, go to http://qt.nokia.com/developer/qt-4.6-rc-for-symbian-developers for developers or first download the demo version to try and just accept all during installation on memory card, so you can see here in youtube wot is all about. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uhr44p2p_3M&feature=player_embedded

I am very much confused as to which touchscreen phone i ought to buy.My preference is either Nokia or HTC.
In terms of sound quality, which one should i go for?
Does the 5800 support divx and avi formats?
In terms of quality(hardware and software) which one is better?
                Please help me

SUN, 24 Nov 2009hi, please its humble request to all of you dont encrouge t... moreTry to find a buyer in jagdish mkt / abids / koti. i dont remember the places. i was workng in hyd 2 yrs ago. Dont tell them ur cell has hardware problem, say that its your parents' phone and they dont prefer touchscreen so you are sellin 5800.
LG GT505 is cool. I also like LG GW525 (has qwerty sliding kbd). But they are not smartphones. U'll have to settle with java apps only.
I have one suggestion. Sell your 5800 soon, use old phone or borrow cheap phone from relatives/friends, wait for new phones to come in market. In 2010 1st quarter there will be new phones.

hey guys, which should i get? the 5800 or the n97? i've seen review videos of this in youtube and the sound quality sure beats the n97 but the n97 has 32gb internal memory and bigger screen but i heard the n97 has lots of bugs even if you updated its firmware but my only major problem in the 5800 is the screen, i've seen a lot of youtube videos about the screen how easily it get damage. please help guys...

I read alot of negative feedback for this phone before I bought it. Still it was on 50% promotion through my network so I got it anyway. I have to say I couldn't be happier. I actually bought it to replace an iPhone (yes, everybody thinks I'm crazy for replacing an iPhone for a nokia 5800) the thing is, I love my iPhone, I love it, and I still use it all the time, just not as a phone. Messaging is really difficult on the iphone, it is an amazing device, just not an amazing phone, specially for someone who had always had Nokias as phones. The Nokia 5800 however is an amazing phone. Even being a touch screen phone it has all the great messaging capabilites that the iphone doesn't, meaning alphanumeric keyboard and don't even get me started on the great haptic feedback on the touch screen. Again, I couldn't be happier. Sure it is not perfect, but no mobile phone or device is perfect, there will always be negative feedback for any device, as well as positive feedback. Just trust your instinct, wether it be good or bad, I trusted mine and I'm glad I did.
