I work in a Phone connect store and have sold maybe 6 of these 5800's, ALL have come back with problems, software, inability to use MP3s as ringtones, stalling up, losing time on the clock, Ive had to sedn them back for customers to be replaced or software upgraded. not very good on a $1000 phone, come on Nokia lift your game

its great phone with no drawbacks.only one thing make a diff if u r camera freak has "ok" quality camera.thats it .it has great web exp.gps works great .

battery easily drains. I wonder it might be bec of the touch screen technology which consumes greater energy. i love the sound and the screen. it took a longer time to send a text message compared to a phone with actual buttons.i think the camera needs better clarity but since this is a music phone, its quite expected lesser quality i guess compared to its audio quality.

hardware or software problem dear these problems are not made by just watching the phone they become becouse we people dropp or mishandled the phone .dear its nokia not a crap copy piece of any other model.ok

i have it and i m using it and still i found no bug or any type of firmware error on this phone and so far as concern to reply of a person that it got more bugs than a tree .dear plz first use it then tell the people arround u ok

One easily gets tired of the phone. Very slow in transictions. My former Sony Ericsson w950 has a lot more graphical features

Thanx 4 d reply ... I live at goregaon (mumbai)...
As far as i know , there are 2 versions of 5800 available here...
One at around 17-18k with tv out and other accessories like extra stylus, pouch, stand, tv out cable....
And the other at around 14-15k but without tv out and without the above mentioned accessories...
You get bill & warranty & free headsets with both versions....
So are you sure that you get tv out at 13.5k

FINALLY,
v31 comes to INDIA .i have updated the firmware and its just too awesome.touchscreen has improved music quantity(quality is same) has increased ovi maps 3 etc. etc.

does the screen problem on the 5800 as i have seen on youtube.com a hardware problem or software bug ? i like this phone i wanna buy 1 but i dont wanna have the screen problem happening on me , on second thought im considering 5530 although the screen is small but it doesnt have screen problems like in the 5800 ! any suggestion which 1 shoud i buy ?

This is a very nice looking phone, very good size for hand and pocket, easy to use when you've had it for a while, exceptionally clear reception but I've two complains here, as I always use the voice recorder inplace of a pen to take note during a phonecall conversation, and here with 5800 it takes about 5 clicks to start recordings, as with previous phones Nokia mostly 2 clicks.Another downside for me which I think is very personal due to my old age is the font size, I suggest a larger-font option avalability.This phone function well and it's very easy to live with, it would be perfect for me if the problems are solved.
