wen i first bought this phone it was like a new toy 4 a child.
but certain probs that ive faced is sumtyms during calls the screen fades out CONTINUOUSLY. i kno de sensor is supposed to do so... but still widout anythin touchin de sensor de screen is OFF!! de sensor gets jammed..ive seen dis in oder 5800s too.u cant save nos. u dont kno whos callin u cant switch between calls..SAD!

I have the 5800 since June ... I'm a real music fan and now I do have about 200 musics on my 5800 (3mns average) I can now see that the phone is kinda slow... is it normal? can I do something to fix it? Also do you think I need a anti-virus because I use the internet daily on it. Also could you advice me of some cool applications for the 5800 and where I can find them (for free would be better lol)

both phones cost the same price right, because i have not yet check the pricing of the 2.

What I think about 5800 camera, Can be a really good camera if you are a bit patient to learn to work with the settings especially Light sensitivity in darker areas to low or medium, or turn scene to night-turn on flash THEN LOWER LIGHT SENSITIVITY, But
MOST IMPORTANT :
Wipe Lens cover Properly Before every use even if it looks clean it could save you a blur even in perfect light!

But i just bought this phone offline (without a contract) i wanted to know if i could still use the internet on this phone or would i need to "buy" the use of internet?

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970i think you should take Nokia 5800 XM, coz F480 lacks WLAN,GPS,and also no RAM...........

Only department where nokia 5800 slams in tho the ground from its flying pieadestal is camera. Idk how is teh camera on renior but first check the camera on 5800 from a friends mobile or in some shope where tehya re selling 5800.

I just bought a Samsung F-480, but im planning to swap it out with a Nokia 5800, is it advisable to do that? Because for me nokia 5800 has a better camera, F-480 is 5mp but then i had a 5610 before it is only 3.15mp it is clearer and better. Im hoping as well nokia 5800 is the same, but then i read all of the opinions about it , im thinking twice, needed feedback , tnx a lot.

i feel cheated when nokia is selling this phone for 16k and launced 5230 which is same except wifi and 2mp cam at 10k.this phone does not deserve this price anymore.6k more for same phone just for wifi and 3.2mp cam.this is such a shame.

The thing i heard from you makes me think your battery is the problem so just go to some service that can check battery to check yours.

Anyone looking at buying this phone:
I own this phone since 3 months now...Except the camera which is really average (I am running the latest firmware) the phone is really good...worth every penny...the only phone that comes close and is tad better in certain respects, although not entirely, is the Samsung Jet...costs about 2000 more than the 5800 (depending on where you live it could be more or less)..so the choice is yours..lots of people talk about problems, problems, and more problems...nothing of that sort...they are one off cases...i owned the n73 before this..that was buggy to say the least...this works seamlessly for a touchscreen phone...and finally, the s60 5th edition is a potential blockbuster...just that its still in its nascent stages...give it some more time...all other phone manufacturers are going to jump on...WinMo?? Whats that? :)

i bought my unit last march.. 4months later the external speakers is not working so i went to nokia care center and guess what when they checked my phone it got worst as if they broke it no screen display and the menu keys arent working..so they told me to leave my phone so i did until now they still have the f#@king phone!!! damn nokia.

after one year of its release 5800 is still having lots of problem is it correct or all problems are sorted by firmware update?
