PB, 29 Jun 2009its a bug??? gosh!!! how do i update my software version???... moreyaa, its a bug coz i had it in v11 even when i saved msgs in memory card. and it was solved in v21.
Updating directly from fone is very simple and should not take more than 20mins.
type *#0000#, then go to options>check for updates....
every thing else will be automated and most importantly, all ur installed apps and fone data will be unaffected(cheers to nokia on that achievement). But data charges will apply.
You can also update via nokia fone updater software in pc but it is a lengthy process and ur fone data will be erased.

Tony, 29 Jun 2009Nokia 5800 has got full flash support so you can watch yout... more it really helps me a lot in deciding and i think i would likely to buy 5800.
actually at first im choosing between nokia 5800 and lg arena but i read from some reviews that the you ant watch youtube videos thru wifi using the lg arena. that's why i want to make sure that i can using the nokia 5800. thank you so much for your help.

The Nokia 5800 is a very nice phone. It is very fast in terms of data retrieval and information processing. The only problem that I've with this phone is an unclear screen which displays some dotted pixels more especially if u can use the touch screen for a long time.

confused buyer, 29 Jun 2009hi guys! after reading all the comments here, it convinced ... moreIf you can wait for the end of the year then you should wait for the 5530 to come out.. It's still an XM and has a touch screen..
Cos if not, then get the 5800!!
This phone is great specially that nokia is planning to release another update for the phone next month (v31.0.0.15)..
But the decision is still yours..

hi. i am planning on buying a nokia 5800. but first i would like to know if you can watch you tube video using the wifi?what is the video format for 5800?if there are many files in the fone will it affects when watching video?will it slow down or hang?thank you.

hi guys! after reading all the comments here, it convinced me to buy this fone! =) but I'm quite concern that if I buy this phone, a new touch fone will come out! huhuhu! so do you think it will be worth it to buy this 5800? I really want to have a touch screen phone ='( please help!

i just bought this nokia 5800 2weeks back ... morethe "Message memory full" issue is a bug. I had it when i transfered my messages from my 6233 to my 5800 using PC Suite.
you will have to erase all the messages(or give a hard reset) then update your fone to v21.

ayabon, 29 Jun 2009Hi...i have tried your steps to avoid getting expired certi... morehey....there are many possibilities for "expired certificate" problem:
1. The application u are trying to install may be an unsigned application. In that case u will have to sign the app online which is a rather complex process.
2. Check your firmware version. press *#0000#. If its v11.x.xxx then update your firmware directly from the fone. Go to options>update(on the same page). It will update automatically and all your installed apps, contacts etc will be unaffected(atleast this was the case with me). You can also update from ur PC using PC suite but it will erase aal ur fone data. Then try to install the apps.
My friend had the same problem in v11 but it was solved in the new version which is v21.0.025.

hello everyone,
i just bought this nokia 5800 2weeks back and honestly i like it and i think its worth the cost!! but i do a minor issue , sometimes if i want to personalize d profile, it displays a msg saying "message memory full,please close some application" so in dat case i switch it off n switch it on!!! whats d issue??
