The screen is fine, I've had no issue's with it
The camera is ok, nothing special but if you're buying this phone for a camera then don't
It doesn't feel plastic too me

hi all! i wanna buy one but ppl say that it has 2 big problems:
1) not responsive screen
2) the plastic body ( in comparison with N5530XM)
and some more Q:
-could some1 tell me about its camera!?
- i have 1 big problem with nokia phones, those are always hanging. does this one like others too?!!?

Folks, I just got my Nokia 5800 & its awesome.
The touchscreen has no issue's & responds perfectly, The sound is the best I have ever heard on a mobile.
Camera is decent, as is video recording
Access the web takes a wee bit getting used too but once you master the zoom & double screen tap zoom you will be laughing
battery life is not great if you're accessing the web all day & will probably need charged after a days use if this is the case.
Texting is easy either using the standard input method or qwerty
Application access, page changing when browsing is fast (alot faster than I imagined tbh)
I'm really happy with the handset so far & have only had a white screen when turning the phone on last night after charging which was fixed by turn off & on again.
These things happen & happen with computers dailly so no reason why mobiles don't suffer from software lag like everything else

Winura, 25 Jun 2009it is possible to cut, copy and paste in this phone though ... moreAnother method would be to download the free app called 'ThePencil'. It allows you to assign a key as the pencil key found in older symbian phones. I use my green answer key. Works well to select a large number of files like songs or pics. Hope this helps!

cinnamon, 23 Jun 2009is it possible to mark/unmark several items(messages, image... moreit is possible to cut, copy and paste in this phone though it doesn't come with a marking key. all you have to do is to highlight the text you want to cut or copy using your finger and go to options and select what you want to do with the highlighted text. simple as that.

"4.not consistant touch screen. some part you tap once but other application you step twice. for example when you go to menu music tap once and go to music player tap once but when you want to choose artist,or all song etc. you must tap twice to access"
Its nothing to do with the screen sensitivity. Its a feature that nokia has included in their touch screen phone. its like in a computer where we can use a 'single-click' in certain places and needs 'double-clicking' in most places.

overall the phone is pretty awesome .... but when i was googling i find 2 poular problems faced many users :
1) the very bad build up quality of the phone body (it is not more than a plastic toy)
2)some vertical lines appears on the touch screen when locking the phone
please can anyone tell me about theses 2 problems ... cause i wanna have one ... thanks

I have read that Nokia is going to replace the resistive touchscreen with a capacative one, any confirmations on when this will be done if it is being done?

Don't allow the seller to cheat with Nokia China. There is no similarity between the two.

i ve just bought this phone. Question: what is the best way to format the battery? Sim card inside? Turned on or off? How many hours should i let it charge the first 3 times? any advices for new users?
