I've got a quick question about this phone as I'm about to buy one. I'm going to purchase the North American version of this phone...wil it work anywhere?
I'm planning to use it in India, so if anyone can help me out here soon, it'd be appreciated.

Ovais, 13 Jun 2009can anyone tell me the battery timing of this cell fone ???... moreAt average phone using (sometimes music, sometimes games, etc.) it can hold even 3 days, not much, but i did use it very regular... [!]BUT I DON'T HAVE THAT PHONE, I JUST SAW IT ON MOST VIDEOS, WHICH SAY WHEN IT HOLDS 2-3DAYS and maybe 4.[!] (at average using.)

can anyone tell me the battery timing of this cell fone ???? plz the users having this cell fone for atleast 6 months tell me ....
coz most of the time these kinda cell phones have very short battery timing ..

I think its not yet avail... moreahh i see so v21.0.025 is the latest, so u mean if i buy one and take it to nokia care center , they cant update my firmware at the moment cause its not available yet in the philippines , thats sad ! By the way can you please tell me how often does the phone hang/crash in latest firmware and also does it auto restart or you have to take the battery out and put it back again to turn it on again from a hang/crash !

jer09, 13 Jun 2009is this unit really works in the philippines regarding its ... moreim guessing the gps only works in metro manila , and im 80% sure that in other provinces in the philippines gps wont work cause we dont even have a decent road out there how much more for a high tech gps / gps satellites but anyway thats just my guess , i could be wrong , or maybe not !

I think its not yet available here in the phils but you can always change your product code with a software.
It always has bugs, nokia havent perfected any of their phones yet, but the hanging is minimized.
i havent experienced the slow response in text mssging.
Charging depends on how much battery left in the phone, maybe aroud 2 hrs the most.

Cos maybe if you sent it to Nokia Care, they will invalidate the warranty of your phone due to changing of product code.. Just, maybe..

But you can always find a cheaper one @ ebay, ranging from 13K-15K. But beware when buying at ebay, maybe seller sold it because he found some problems on the phone..

Hi, Im Teddy from the Philippines & I bought this Nokia 5800 just 2 weeks ago & so far it's the BEST...I have one question though, Where to find the "clip board" for this phone? You see when I copy a portion of my text mgs it says copied to clip board but I cant somehow locate the clip board.

A very nice phone with a very good package, price, friendly. I'm using mine for a month without any problems, any crash so far. I've never liked Nokia, but this one is very good with the touch symbian, the awesome gps even with the nokia maps, the music and video player, the calendar and the sync with pc, awesome. My last phone had wm6.1 inside but this symbian is even better. Very practical.

is this phone resistant to bumps? if i let it fall on the floor carelessly will it break into 10000000 pieces or it still be like if nothing happened?
what about the touch screen? is it easy to break or its very resistant? i want to know about the screen cuz i carelessly broke the screen of my 2 last phones, nokia 5200 and nokia 5610.. i dont want the bad experience for a 3rd time
