I know there have been alot of faults with this phone, but the people complaing all seem 2 have purchased their phones last year december or something. Can any who has purchased the phone last month or this month please tell me if they too are have problems with their phone! I BEG U, PLEASE SOME1 ANSWER THIS POST, because I badly want to buy this phone, but should I chance it, considering all the bad reviews????

I bought my Nokia 6111 at the beginning of December. I had ultimate enjoyment with the phone. It is sleek, stylish and practical. I enjoyed the clarity with the bluetooth link-up. Most of the features were just what an avid phone user would ask for. There was only one feature that I was a little bit disappointed with and that was the phonebook. Having experienced the phonebook of the 6670 (my previous phone), i expected a little more from the 6111.
However all the enjoyment was shortlived as the phone seems to have one fundamantal problem and that is sturdiness. After only three (3) months, I lost the use of the phone, because the ribbon which connects the front and back sections of the phone became damaged. This is despite limited sliding owing to the fact that I primarily used my bluetooth headset.
The further horror is thatI am not able to obtain a replacement ribbon. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

this phone is a complete dissapointment but at least i got it free (i was a journalist and received it free at the launch). 3 weeks after i received it, it completely died on me! i also had battery problems (it'd last 1 day at most -low usage-) but after i chanrged it again for about 12 hours, it lasted about 3 days or so. I'm annoyed because I sold my old mobile very cheaply (as I moved overseas) and now I've to buy a new one (and phones in Europe are twice as expensive...) .. I can't get it fixed without paying as my warranty isn't valid in europe... the crappiest phone of all time..all looks and zero substance

Thankyou JV, so i assume all the problems have been fixed by Nokia now then? Or maybe you have just been lucky and purchased one without any faults? Is it also true that the name and time of a received text message dont show up?

dear chaz,
ive owned this model of phone for some months now and im completely happy with my purchase.no faults as yet the battery has gotten better with age,like alot of the new models comeing out treat this particular phone with a great deal of care.with ref to ppl saying that the slide mech is faulty,go easy with it.btw the golf game is awesome when you consider i can hardly hit the ball for real!

hello, i have read alot of the posts dating back 2 january, and have noticed that over half of you are complaning about faults. has any1 bought the phone recently? Cos i am assuming all the faults would have been fixed by Nokia now? Cosidering its been months since the phone was out, PLEASE some1 answer my post, because i really wanted 2 buy this phone and now have 2 reconsider because of all the complaints its had! Should i buy it or not?

If you can't switch it off .. simple .. take the battery out.

Had this phone for almost 4 months, and so far ive had two problems wiht it...when i open the phone it makes a weird clicking noise and now the screen just went blank...theres light on the screen, but no picture

I have this phone nearly 1 month ago, it is working fine, but when i want to connect it to the computer with USB, the software doesn't see it.. i have try to reinstall or install other versions of nokia software but it did not work.when you connect it without software then computer see the phone, but can not recognize or copy anything to the phone, if somebody knows something about it, please help me, my cable is Nokia CA-53
