I got one of these phones for a Christmas present and was very happy with it, but found it seemed very light and fragile and the battery life never lasted very long. Last week it started just turning off by itself, then I got the white screen. The next day it turned very hot sitting in my handbag. Then, it went very hot again when charging it up and has now stopped. I am sending it back to the kind person who gave me it as a gift, and they are going to get it replaced. ANyone else had problems with the phone overheating. Apart from that, I found it a nice little phone.

the only problem about this phone is its memory which is way too low for a fantastic phone like this ,rest every thin is cool about this cell

Regarding the no memory slot , if you wants a techy for music, get an mp3 player, anyway this phone of mine able to holds up to bout 20 FULL complete songs.. ive convert wav.wma.mp3..etc..etc.. to .AMR , and instead of those normal mp3 size which range 3MB-5MB, .AMR is bout 1MB per FULL song, and its sound quality, check out my previous post, my comments there says it all.. Awesome phone.. mines in Black, Colour Of Elegance.. Peaze..

Having used this phone for quite a while now , it works perfectly and looks even better. I don't know why some people complain. Maybe they do not take care of it the way they should. Perfect phone; very happy :)

i am currently planning to get 6111 but it is without memory slot .. will it be enuff for mp3 .. or do the users compress their mp3 files??? HElppp!!

We sell these phones!!! Every one we have sold so far has come back with a fault. Please stay clear of this phone and do not buy it.

i've had my nokia 6111 for a week now. the only problem i have is the battery life. i charged it for 10 hrs when i got it and then discharged completely before charging again. but the battery only lasts for a day on normal use. been having to charge it at the end of each day. don't really like the sound of the buttons when pressed.
for those asking about the time & date details for sms, you have to look under options, than message details.

I am using 6111 for the past three months, I have no issues with the mobile, I just bought it for the size and the look. I feel it is more than enough for talking and videos.
If you guys are looking for games,memory,music buy a computer instead of a mobile. Dont blame mobiles for ur thirst.
I dont think currently any mobile matches with the look of 6111.
I am happy using it.

AMAZING! had a couple of post already, here goes another one..lol.. just tried out AMR converter which converts from any music format to .AMR or vice versa... a complete song of .amr file size is less than a MB compared to normal mp3 size bout 3MB - 5MB, don tlak bout the sound quality, its bitrate is 12.20kbps and frequency is 16000, tried is on ur phone and INDEED its clear, truely clear, so 20MB is more than enough for this techy.. awesome

Okay, I've had this for some time now and it works great.
I don't see what the problem is with the screen going white and the crunchy noise with the slide.
Maybe you just gotta take better care of it...?
If I'm not having any problems with this cellphone, I must not be the only one.
Great phone. I recommend. =)

Love my 6111. Had it for 1 month, no problem at all. Maybe people don't know how to take care of their phone.

Could have a better screen, better memory, better battery, better everything...but anyway i love it. By far the best looking mobile phone i had. And no bug at all.
By the way samsung still makes phones which can't ring and vibrate at the same time. Even my first phone 6 years ago could do it

I loved the look of my Nokia 6111, but it lasted exactly five weeks before it completely died on me. Started out by cutting calls off when I slid it open and then within 2 days it totally died. It has been in the repair shop for over three weeks as they are waiting on parts. It might LOOK good, but it is the worst phone I have ever had.

I had my phone for 2 weeks and then the slider made a clunky feel then less then a month after i bought it the screen went blank. It has been off getting repaired by nokia for a month now! I really regret buying it :( i thought it was gorgeous and yes the features are good but none of that matters when it doesnt even work, a friend has had theirs REPLACED 3 times already and they are still very new on the australian market. Buy a samsung, they are good :)
SUMMARY: This phone is crap and so is the repair service offered by nokia. DONT BUY IT!!

Don't believe what people say. I have one for sometime now and it's great. Nice camera and so small. Won't change it for another samsung piece of crap...
