I dont like this phone, it looks really nice, however it is very poorly contructed, the two pieces not only slide up and down like they should, but also rotate far too much!
In short, nice phone, poorly made

yeh i have a problem with it, the amount of memory it has. nowhere near enuff for my comfort. but thats jst my opinion.

Black, White and Pink in Singapore, a shop from simlim selling pink ones at $495... anyway i got my black for bout goin 2 months now... n gona get the pink ones from NOkia retail at suntec soon for my gf!!! awesome phone... had a hard plastic case and it looks more awesome, no regrets.. take care of ur phone n ur phone will take care of u, cheers..

mine too. it doesn't allows me to change the msging font size..
could this be becoz of the firmware? mine is v 3.41

Had one for a few days now, in white, firmware 3.45 .Great phone, but don't expect too much from the camera, and the phone quite frail. From my PC I have loaded 30 games, MP3 ringtones, video clips, etc... Everything works perfectly. The screen is great too, the look fantastic in white, all my girly friends love it. For now I am a very happy customer.
PS : if you want to have the time right for the received SMS, you have to select the GMT+ thing right when you set the time.

hey i got this phone recently, and i find that i cant change the messaging font size from normal to small. the option's greyed out, anyone else having this problem? cos i dunno if its just me or a problem with the firmware.

i want to get one of these phones but i was just readind all the comments about it and they sound not so good as they look. my mate has one and his has not exeprenced any problems. and what's the deal with the screen going white.

I finally got this phone not too while ago, and I gotta say that I love it. It looks better in real life that it is in pictures, I think. It's a cute phone and the screen quality is fantastic! So I don't know what some people meant by saying that its screen quality is poor, hmm...
The battery works okay and the only thing I don't really like is the 4way button, because the noise is kinda loud when you push it. Other than that, I love it.

oh and another thing. I think Nokia have made a mistake with the firmware because there are over 800 characters for one text message! So when you think your getting away with sending one, youre actually sending about 3!

I finally got my Nokia 6111! I bought it off ebay because that seems to be the only place you can get one of these phones. Mine came today and has been brilliant. The only thing I don't like about the phone is that it doesn't feel strong and stable when its open, I think thats to do with the slide and when you have it open and use the 4-way key the phone does make plasticy sounds. Well the phone came with the manufacturers warranty so if anything goes wrong then Ill just contact Nokia. The fone is great though I love it and the screen quality is just fantastic. I think a lot of people are probably finding problems with the slide because they expect to be able to slide it open quite firmly like Samsung phones however nokia haven't really been that practical and in my opinion the silde mechanism is very delicate. SO I slide it open slowly rather than quicky and I try to use the phone closed as much as possible. That way the ribbon connector has a lower chance of snapping, thats if it does snap of course.

Hey, i m frm singapore just got my 6111 phone today. well have not really explored it that much.. but it seemed like when someone called u n U answered, the other party's voice isnt too clear... and when i was charging the phone, it turned off by itself for a couple of times... has anyone got the same problem?

I wanted it 4 ages and went all over to get hold of one, and its rubbish. The battery is useless, the slide is bad and the screen keeps going white. I'm changing and going back to Samsung...

hey just like that guy a bit before asked... what is firmware?
Ive been thinking about getting this phone for ages and i just read peoples comments and its killing me now because i want to get it, but i dont want to get gipped. Are the models no, that've come out later anyway better than the ones that came out first? Please somebody answer because im thinking, really thinking about getting this phone... is it worth it?

i got it like a year and a half ago

6111 better.. the best i ever own.. im from singapore anyway.. the sound quality is good.. mayb u should try convert your songs quality properly before transferring them to your phone.. i used a bluetooth usb connection from pc to my 6111...

Hey, 3 questions:
1) is the nokia 6111 actually out in pink, in England yet???
2) what is the camera quality of the phone like?
3) How many characters is there for each text? (normally like 160 or something...i think)
