lollypop,

in regards to the "sticky keys" after changing wallpaper, it is not because i am holding the keys down too long.

i spoke to nokia who said that it was a KNOWN fault and can be fixed by resetting the phone. however, if you try to put the wallpaper on again, it will again not let you dial out...

You can find out by entering *#0000# on the phone whilst in standby.

my firmware is
Nokia 6111
v 03.41
27-10-05
RM-82
(c)NMP.

they took my phone back and said that they will "try" to fix it. who knows if they actually have a new firmware. it's been over a week now. anyway, will wait and see.

for those of you who wanna get rid of your phone, i suggest you simply try to change the wallpaper and you'll get that fault and then bring it back to nokia and complain! it's well within our consumer rights to expect to be able to actually make a phone call when we buy a mobile phone!!!

Just got the 6111 today after weeks of waiting for it to be in stock, knowing i have always had a good phone from nokia. I must say i an very disapointed with it. In my opinion the screen quality is very poor, and the phone itself feels cheaply put togeter. i just hope i can return it and get a full refund. i wish i had listened to a lot of the other comments on this forum.

I got this phone recently, and I've been having problem with the SIMcard. I inserted the sim card, and the phone says the sim is not ready, and that in fact, there is NO sim, it says. And the phone IS unlocked... anyone know what seems to be the problem???

I've just bought this phone for my mum, and the camera on it is VERY blurry. I thought that it's meant to be 1MP? At first I thought I hadnt removed all the protective stickers, but even after doing that and adjusting the image quality to the highest level, the pictures I take on the camera are still so blurry.

Does anyone know what Im doing wrong?

              Hi everyone

I got this phone yesterday and seem to be having some trouble charging it.when i put it on charge the bars on the battery dont move....in past nokia's the little bar has kind of pulsed so that you can see that tis charging.
I had it on charge for 10 hours yesterday and there are no bars on the battery picture.
is this normal? when you gusy charge it do the bars move?

Kittykat, that is annoying when that happens and the shop won't exchange it again even though they are just going to send it back to the manufacturer anyway!

I'm glad i returned the phone in time. I was very disappointed with it. Another feature which annoyed me was that keys on the top line of the keypad, even though i have slim fingers i still found it restrictive to type on them, and even though the camera was ok, the video limit was disappointing as was the lack of memory slot.

I got is a gift few days back, and must admit it turns heads. I wish it had the data cable in the box..no I must buy it for 40€..just to have my mp3 loaded on it.

Also wish there was better support for Apple's Mac users, as the software that comes along is for PC's only..

What sucks is that there's almost none themes, ringtones etc available afaik.

Otherwise a great phone so far..

Ive had the phone 6 weeks and it has completely broken on me, took it back to O2 today and they said my only optin was to get it repaired. Obviously a fault with the phone and it will then break again and again and again.very very annoyed.

                                To grrrrrrrrrrr:

There are nokia shops in australia, just go to nokia.com.au and look for the care centres.

In other news, there may still be hope, there are replacement ribbons for sale on i-phone.org

                                http://us.i-phone.org/main/product.php?find=6111&prod=6216

i'll buy one since i have no bloody warranty. I have no idea how to open the phone without breaking it though. Anyone wanna help? Perhaps the guy that made nokia6111sucks.com?

Ok so after having this phone for 2 weeks and discharging and recharging the phone fully i only got a max of 3 days battery life even with minimal usuage. So yesterday i headed back to phones 4 u and exchanged the phone for a sony ericsson w800i and i love it, it is much better than the nokia 6111!

The white one now availlable in Thailand. Hope it has the new firmware 3.45, but not sure. I suppose the problems of some items from the first batch are fixed now, because I am going to buy it very soon.

                                        Phishy,

You are holding the 0 too long, if you just tap it, it works. If you press and hold 0 it is a speeddial to the web services, as 1 is to voicemail.

I think people are just so paranoid about this phone now, they are finding faults.

Apparently, the ONLY fault that has been confirmed on this phone is some firmware may make the screen go blank or reboot.
I had that on my Nokia 6600 and a firmware update solved it. (I havent had that problem yet on 6111)

I have had the Nokia 6111 over a week now. The battery life is fine, once you get used to the fact it goes down to half quickly then takes 3-4 days to move again. People just panic when it halves cos I admit is isnt the best battery indicator.

I love the phone. The amount of heads it has turned is amazing! Everyone I have shown the phone to have gasped in awe.

I dont deny that some people have had problems, this can happen with a new release phone. But it can happen with ANY phone.

If you like it, I would recommend it. I still have the pink one on order too and am now selling my pink 6230i on ebay, as I have road tested this enough now.
