I must admit i haven't been overly impressed with the battery life. Has only lasted a maximum of 3 days with minimal usage and with proper discharges and recharges. Everything else about the phone is grand though, really like it!

I know mostly people who have problems with their phone will write here.
But if there is any single owner of a 6111 who doesn't have a problem with his phone, and who is happy with it pleaselet us know.

obviously, firmware can't fix the sloppy design of the springs.

I am planning to buy this phone.. actually ı wanted to buy motorola v3i first because it looks really nice but I decided not to cos of it has no good features. and I am now thinking of nokia 6111. can sb give me some info...

Reading the posts I can sympathise with all those having problems.
Current 6111 handset I own is the third one in three weeks since my upgrade. First two handsets would not turn on after the sim card is inserted, some problem with sim registration I got told by Carphone Warehouse and its a problem with this model of nokia! - Wheather anyone's fixing the problem, is a different matter all together. Seems to me like Carphone warehouse in conjunction with Nokia is turning a blind eye!
Secondly battery life is appalling. Battery lasts less than 3 days on mine (normal use not even playing games or using WAP) and this is after following reccomendations to charge the battery for at least 12 hours before first use.
Does anyone have the same problem with battery life?

I don't think there are big improvements from 3.41 to 3.45. But if someone can put the changelist online here...

With my (second) 6111 my problem is about the battery length.
Last time: two days of life, with normal use (maybe a little of games...), and turned off @ night. It's to little for me!

im planning to get this phone soon , but after reading all the malfunctions and about how the battery life is crap, im planning to doubt whether this is a good phone or not. anyone still having the problems?

Yeah I know, thats why I asked if someone got the change file of the new Firmware V3.45
It's now available at the Nokia Service Points. It woulde be nice if someone can post the changes?

I read that for the Nokia 6111 a new Firmware is available:

Obvious there is something wrong with the N6111. It was planned before X-Mas 2005. But still now it's hardly to get one.

Well, Nokia 6111 is good as sony ericsson's sets but one bad thing in it is memory of phone calls which are only 10. too lil memory, but set is fantastic

I emailed Nokia too and got the same standard reply so I think that they're refusing to acknowledge the complaints - more fool them :o/

I have been reading the comments about this phone on a few sites, so I asked Nokia about the problems - "is there a duff batch of phones" etc
This is the reply I got yesterday:-
