i had the 6131 for around 3 months.
personally, i think the phones is mediocre.
the screen is fantastic, the buttons are decently sized for convenient texting.
the problems i found were that the camera was a bit poor, the opening button is gimicky (no real use at all. the spring will flip it open if you pry it open with one finger anyway), the buttons on the side (mainly the on/off and the camera buttons) can be easily pressed which can be irritating, the battery life SUCKS, the music player SUCKS, the headphones SUCK, the plug for the headphones can also be irritating, whenever you take the memory card out and put it in again, the settings like wallpaper and ringtones reset which is overlly annoying.
so overall, not a good phone. i'd recommend sony ericssons =) i've currently got the W800i and it's worked like a charm.

6131 is great, i think it's an excellent phone, when it comes down to the headset, it's uncofortable and cable is too short!!
does anyones have same problems with the headset??how'd nokia could do somntheing that short??and the part that goes in your ears are too big,for my ears at least..so, as a result of this, i can not use the phone to listening some music...
i couldn't install the software in my pc, that's the olnly problem i have... =(

Hi you guys having a problem with the Opera browser. I had the same problem until I changed provider. I was on a Tesco`s pay-as- you-go tariff but because I wanted free internet browsing I changed to a sim only contract with o2, as I wanted to put the sim in this phone. Since then it`s worked fine and I get 1,000 texts, 600 minutes and a free bolt on of unlimited internet browsing for £25.00 a month. Since it`s a sim only contract I`m not tied to a fixed contract but a rolling month to month one.

I have had this phone for 12 months now and it`s super. Great for texting and downloading via infra red if you don`t want to install the PC Suite. The Opera browser 4 works well and I am very pleased with it. The only niggles are the battery life isn`t that great, but what do you expect with such a large screen and you need a memory card as it only has a small phone memory. Overall a very nice phone.

i had nokia 6131 from 3 months
its agood phone and i put on it 1 gb m.c
its agood phone and i dont have problem with it

Usin it fr more than a month now...dropped it too...love the looks...gr8 one touch flip open button...and the textin iz itz speciallity...superkool...on da oder hand..cameraz mediocre...nd da battery life iz not at all acceptable...do sumthn to tha battery thng NOKIA

found out no display everytime flip open is becoz of ribbon cable broken! this phone is not as durable as everyone claim! i prefer to buy a sony erisccon - longer battery life and great audio!

this phone sucks big time! everytime i flip, there is no display! battery life also not up to satisfaction!

help me .i downloaded a game on my phone and when it started i froze then shut off...now it's not turning on.i switched battery and that wasn't the problem...i don't know what the problem is...notting lightins up it not even taking charge...help i say help

Been using it for a few days now.
really solid feeling, the speed is good enough, great flip open button (love it), snake 3 :p
Sadly limited options in terms of settings (compaired to SE) the call quality is quite poor, but loud (not happy about it), poor quality of cam (but many phones have the same quality)
overall i would recommand this phone only to people who text more then they call.
and i would like to note that the 7510 is comming out soon which should be seen as its succesor

i really do like 6131,good shap, and never hang and this is what i'm looking for in a mobile, only the Q of the Camera its not that good.

I love the picture details from my 6131 camera. It takes excellent pictures with the same quality as my digital camera! I am usually never happy with the quality of a little camera phone.

i've had this fone for 2 years now. Gr8 fone. Extremely durable. I drop it on average 6 times a day but nothing wrong apart form a few scratches. Good thing is that the back of the fone is rubber so is scratch durable. I havent had problem with the flip mechanism although other have had problems. A few thing are very annoying. Buttons are very stiff and difficult to txt quickly and camera quality isnt that gr8. Otherwise, good for the price

But you definitely can break it - I am clumsy and dropped mine many times. Once I had to get it fixed because it wouldn't shut so I had to keep it closed with a hairtie! I did drop it once too often though and it lost all sound, so it was curtains for my Nokia 6131. Would recommend it to anyone! Great phone.

i hve been using nokia 6131 for last 1yr..the picture quality is nt tht great..other than the the main disadvantage is tht its internal memory is very low..but other than tht it is a great mobile..it has loud and clear voice..the battery life is good..it has every thing a mobile user requires...i specially like the look of the mobile..its a good value of money..its a mobile with style..
