Hey peoples... If you want some photos about this phone using the battery BL-5C, I can send by e-mail. You have that change some parts on this battery only, no on phone. You can gain one day in comparson with this original battery BL-4C. Only that difference that will be do, is the back cover will stuf a little, but isn´t a trouble or problem.
And I am very not happy with this phone: The plastic black turn on internal display goes out with corporeal watter (head, suor). This isn´t a paint. It´s a plastic. and the corporeal watter can demage the phone enter the internal display. It´s very bad... bye!

I bought my 6131 last week after searching (alot) for a replacement for a Samsung Sync (A707) from Cingular. I loved the features and design of the Sync, but the reception and call quality was horrible.
The 6131, by comparison, has excellent reception - probably the best of any phone I have owned. It has a wide array of features and is designed to function and look good. I have discovered a few little quirks and offer a few solutions:
-Battery life is shorter than I would like, but I charge my phone every night anyways. When I get less than a day I will complain more.
-The outer screen is great, but probably the cause for the shorter battery life. Turn off the wallpaper, screensaver and power saver (read more below) and you will get a white screen that clearly shows time, date, and call info without turning its backlight on.
-I am running firmware 6.10 and I had a problem with the screens coming staying dark after being put into Power Saver mode. After a weekend of no lockups or screen sleep issues I have to conclude the Power Saver function is buggy and I recommend you leave it off. I still had a full battery meter yesterday after 16 hours of being on and used lightly.
-Themes. Pick a theme and leave it. If you swap themes alot you will run into profiles forgetting their tone settings.
-Memory card as storage. This works great. The 6131 will happily use the memory card to store everything that you can access on the internal phone memory (most phones I have used limit you in some way). The caveat to this is that if you take the memory card out, it will revert custom settings in the profiles to default (it seems to remember individual ringtones, but I have tried to edit one of these options with the card out )
That's about all right now. I am generally very happy with this phone and as long as the battery situation doesn't get worse I will hold onto this phone for awhile.
Other phones I have used: Sony Ericsson candy bar phone (no idea the model number, 5 years ago at least), Moto V600, Moto V551, Samsung T809, Moto V3i, Samsung Sync (A707), Nokia 6131.

I think that battery is very bad.
I have to charge Nokia 6131 every night.
If I use it a lot the battery last no more than 12 hours.
I have really disappointed with N 6131

Hi, I bought a 6131 in Ireland and brought to Brazil.....It is supposed to be Sim Free...but
everyday it comes up with Restricted and I can't manage to upgrade the firmware using bluetooth.
Anyone got any suggestions? How to solve the problem of being restricted and how to update the firmware (hoping that would solve the problem)
Thanks

Jacek use a nokia ca-53 cable, nokia Pc Suite and you can uprgade your firmware. Be sure to backup any data from the phone. One last thing: The newest software version is 6.10
