I saw nokia 6131 and fell in love with it .... I actually went out and sold my N72 to get 6131 cause the sound quality is just amazing and 6131 has so many options in the phone that you just cant imagine .... If you wanna buy a sleek phone with good sound and amazing options with 1.3mp camera, Internet,mp3,fm radio and extra memory card go for 6131 you will be happy .....

              Hi rhythm,

The answer to your question is YES. The phone's external screen shows the radio station as well as the mp3 song name(that's when you are using the mp3 player).

the phone is very good respecting its look and style. the camera is nice, really not high pixel but the images it produces are acceptable. the only problem is with java applications they are not available like the symbian series. can it ever accept the .sis extensions?

Thanks for the reply Diego. After I have made an investigation in web, I have found that the m3u playlist files has to be stored in the phone memory in order to be played correctly. Thanks anyway.

                        josh_ww:

i created the playlists with the "music manager" (not sure how is it called since mine is in spanish and it says "transferir musica") from the Nokia PC Suite and directly sent them into the phone via bluetooth, and i'm not sure how it works, since thay don't seem to be on the memory card... but they are definately on the phone and it can read (?) them, and the format is m3u so you can use them with other programs on the PC

ok.. after lots of deliberation and rethinking, I went and got this phone in the second week of Feb. I adore it, since I dont have many uses for it beyond calling, SMS and Bluetooth usage. One issue is that the phone reboots itself, oddly enough. And also, you have to be really good to it.. dropping it down and stuff will ruin it. I was actually waiting for the 6290 but since it didnt come out, this was my next best bet. Does anyone know what is causing the rebooting? I have a 1GB card in it, but its not completely full and I dont use themes and stuff to slow the phone down- just wallpapers. Anyone?

                                Peoples!!
For all that have trouble with the battery on this phone, is possible that install a BL-5C in this phone. Do you will buy a this model of battery BL-5C and cut the plastic parts delicated, side terminals, and upper side (only plastic black part). This BL-5C is more fat, only this. The width (comprimento) is same. So, if you cut upper side of battery, it´s possible installl in nokia 6131. But, it´s will do much fat, back side of phone... a little... but, can do this! Do you has a gain turn around of mid-day or one day a lot.. no more this... in may cause, that´s was during only 2 days... now... is during 2 and hal day (using normal the celular). So, it´s only simple of customise this phone and gain a little power of battery! Try!

Diego, I created playlist files (.m3u) in winamp and I placed them in the folder where the mp3's are in the Micro SD card, but the phone doesn't recognize the files. I did it like that because this files have the same extension of that created by the PC Suite and I don't have the data cable because I use a portable USB 2.0 SD card reader.

When you pass this playlist files to the cell phone they are stored in the phone memory or in the sd card???
