sorry being a bit dense here, which bit of nokia pc suite do you use to transfer photos to the phone, as the image bit only seems to apply to tranfering photos from phone to pc, not the other way around unless i am missing something!

      to miyako:
yes, animated screensavers (.gif and swf) are supported by the nokia 6131

      to jovi:
transferring photos to and from the phone is easy if you have either a bluetooth dongle or infrared or a cable on your pc.

via bluetooth is the fastest way. i got bluetooth dongle for my pc and i use the software that comes with it instead of the nokia pc suite. once connected, i just drag and drop files to/frm my pc and my phone.

when i used to use either the infrared (the slowest way) or the cable, i had to use the nokia pc suite.

I just got this phone and I love it, one problem I am having is that I cant get MMS from other phones. The video gets dropped or now I have to go to the tmobile site to get it. Any ideas how to configure it so that I can get MMS? I am coming from a nokia 3650 and I had no problems at all. Oh if by chance a MMS does come thru - 1 out of 10 shot, there is no sound.

                        Crickey mate!
If you wanna get rid of that annoying sound when the phone flips open, go to "menu" --> "settings" --> "tones".

Then once you're in there, go down to the option of "other tones", and switch that to off.

Once you do this it will get rid of the sound when you flip open the phone, regardless of what theme you have.

                        That's all mate!

morpheus1234 -- if you are still looking for an answer to your question, I had a nokia 3650 and I could change the ring tone selection by doing -- ring, ring and vibrate, or ascending, which means, the sound starts out low and gradually gets louder. you may want to look into changing the way the phone rings. hope this helps.

                                      to swistak.pro

been using this phone for a while and i didn't know that we can change or switch off the sound that goes with flipping the phone open or close. i thought the sound comes with the theme. i have been downloading themes and some come with a sound when flipping the phone while other themes don't. it will be good if you tell us how to change the sound independent of the theme being used like changing or switching off of the sliding tones of a samsung d500. thanks.

I did a phone upgrade and coincidentally my old phone battery fits 6131 so sometimes I use my extra battery so I can talk as long as I want.
