Does anyone know if you can flip the phone open with your hand instead of using the side button, or do you have to use the side button all the time?

Sure you can!

Guys I just went to phone shop and ask if I could have a demo for 6131, they agreed. As what I've seen I really like it. The phone is great it exceed my expectations and I can't wait to buy it(still saving money though hehehehe)

              hi,
              im just wondering...
what is the actually difference between active stand-by mode and standard display?

and also how it says you can have the cross with the icon and functions....do you have to have that show for it to work with the keys?

              cheers.

A danish online store sells a Nokia compatible BL-4C battery with 1350 mAh, compared to the original 820 mAh:

                http://www.mobilunlock.dk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=42_172&products_id=1786&sessionid=9288fccf59d127a4bf310c3d82385ee5

The question is, do I dare to test this on my phone? Nokia only recommends original batteries.

depends...if u need symbian go for n71, if not 6131 wud b sufficient..i dun c a pt to get n71 for da 2mp camera which is not dat good afterall

note: the battery life for 6131 is very short...if u are a heavy user + hates to recharge everynite pls think twice

Just got myself a 6131 and I'm wondering if there's any way for the images that I get on messages NOT to be resized to a smaller resolution? I sent an e-mail to my phone with a 240x320 image attachment that I was hoping to use as a wallpaper, but it got shrank down to 90x120. My brother sent me a 640x480 picture that he took with his Motorola V360 and when I got it, it's down to 160x120. Any way I could fix this? It's driving me nuts. Other than this problem I'm having, the phone is GREAT!

the only difference i can see between the 6131 and the 6125 are the 2 displays: the 6125 has smaller displays (the main has 128x160 with 256k colors and the external one with 96x65 and 65k colors) -> therefore the 2 displays don't drain the battery as fast as the 6131 does... and of course there is the weight difference and the dimensions

you can store thousand of messages and archiving them, too... till the internal memory is full. heheh.

                            btw...
i've seen my friend's... oopss... i made a right decision not replacing my 16M colors VS3 with 6131. if you people think that 6131 has "A BEAUTIFUL SCREEN", you must see VS3 first.. 6131 screen doesn't impress me at all.. it's not so bright, not so clear as i thought it would be. using vs3 for 5 months really make the standard really high for a quality display. 6131 screen is only a 7.5 to the perfect vs3 screen.

Since I purchased the mobile I had to charge the mobile every alternate day over night. I the backup is really frustrating. Also the quality of the camary in dim light is really awful. only in the day light the camara is working fine.I ll rate my overall satisfaction as 1 on a scale of 5 even if has got some excellent features.

Really? I'm still having second thoughts of it, although 6131 is a nice phone not too bulky like the 6630, by the way how many messages can you store in this phone?

Very good choice. This phone has a lot better features than the Nokia 6630. Such as a 1.3 megapixel camera, a larger much brighter screen and you can also expand your memory.

i have this phone for 1 day now. the performance of the set is excellent so far. the only problem i find is the poor camera quality in low light. the camera is truly fantastic under good light, but not so at dark. n the "not likeable" thing in the design is the portion which stays out when folded. it seems to be steel n that doesn't look very good. it'd have looked very good had it not been steel. leaving out these two things, GO FOR IT people. it's the best phone in its price.
