Yeah, the best phone I ever had. I have one with 512mb MMC and yeah it´s very loud (it´s louder than my current phone, a 6681) and almost everyday I visit this site to help people that have problems with it or need help and always vote 10 because this phone deserves it.
I want this phone to be in the top 15 best rated phones in this site cause is better than some phones in that window

            To 786:

            I didn't sell my 6230 because I didn't want it anymore.

I sold it because my girlfriend (soon to be wife) wanted to give her teenage son as a birthday gift.

So I will still have the 6230 to play around with, it will still be close by me (smile),

              To LUIS:

I know the 6230 and the K700 were the biggest rivals ever in the phone industry. You can find millions of post about them tackling each other.

The ONLY reason I mentioned K750 was because of the person who mentioned the K750 killing the 6230. The 6230i was the contender for the K750 but overall the original 6230 turned out to be the crowd's favourite despite the 6230i release.

Having said that, the original 6230 could be seen as an unofficial contender for the K750 and when you think about it, if the 6230 is seen as the greatest phone of all time then it's a contender for every phone out there. Take care Luis.

I can´t believe that you OJ have sold your beloved 6230.
Even after I bought a 6681 a month ago I keep my 6230 and still a great phone. 6681 is a good phone too but it has nothing to do with the speed of my 6230, and the battery of 6681 drains very quickly so I have to use my 6230 battery as a spare batery sometimes.
K750 has nothing to do vs 6230. They are phones of diferent time and 6230 is more durable, easier to use, louder, etc etc.
And that comment was a little out of place because the contender of 6230 was K700 and 6230 was much better :)
I have had 6 phones at this time, included 2 Nokias and were the best so for that reason I always buy Nokia and I´ll still buying them. The best

The NOKIA 6230 is the greatest phone of ALL TIME.

ONE of the FASTEST PHONES EVER!!!

Sony Ericsson K750i ??? I don't hear that being talked about anymore, whereas the 6230 is still being praised.

I eventually moved on from my 6230 which is the longest I ever kept a phone, over 2 years. Officially sold it Friday October 26, 2007.

I now have 6300 which is basically the same but flashier in every way.

I still love and miss my 6230 though.

                    Farewell my beloved phone.

                    OJ

6230 was ahead of its time by only 1 year
K750i the next generation came and killed it !

This phone can record only 4 minutes. It´s ok since I use the video recorder very ocassionally. It hasn´t good quality so it would be useless if it could record several minutes or even hours

                                  This is a great phone!
i previously had a SE V630i but much prefer this phone.
I found a way you can play your songs from the memory card in music player,
all you have to do is move one song to the phones memory, and it reads all of the songs on card and phone

Sad day, had my 6230m now from Nov 04, gave up all offers of upgrades as i found it hard to beat. However, the battery is starting to die and so is the replacement so i tried to find something to match it.....couldnt find a decent Nokia, opted for a Sony E 770, dont want to turn it on at all. I;l always have the 6230 close by!!

                                      TO BEN:
Maybe the only way to do that is restoring the factory settings. Only you need to enter to settings and select the option: restore factory settings. If your 6230 has a security code, you must need to enter it to restore your phone. I hope this information to be useful for you
