this is one of the nest phones nokia has ever made.i have fiends with motorola v3's who r giving them up to get a n6230.how much mp3 files can i play if get a 1gb mmc card?
how do i know which firmware i have, and how do i get it upgraded?

i think this phone is great!! the only problem that i have is that the video recording is for only 15 seconds which is not very good at all!! it should have atleast been for 10 mins. anyway i love my phone it rocks!!!!

Well it is not unlocked but that is not the problem i guess my provider has got a contract with a local provider. The problem is that different countries use different systems. I wanted to know if my phone could handle the system over there.

well.. if they use gsm then yes... and if your phone is unlocked also.. and you have a service provider over there, usually you should just get a prepaid sim card and stick it in

this phone is no where near as good as the sony ericsson k700i its much better i hav got a friend with the 6230 but it is nowhere near as good

i got my software upgraded two days ago and now there is a password on the mmc card ,it was never here before and i cant access it does anyone know how to break the code

hi guys i had this phone for 14 months now and its great but i just got one problem.. i sometimes can't delete the phto i have taken instanly sometimes.. this happens ocasionally can some1 help or explain why this happends?

Had this phone 4 months. It's a really good phone. Has everything. If you need more buy a pocketpc.. really. Menu speed is faaasst! Supports 2GB MMC card for crying out loud.. tons of MP3zz.. go for it!!

I switched back to 6230 after one day using 6230i - This phone is just superb! It has most of the key features that we love and the new 6230i is not superior in those areas!
- interface is faster than 6230i (new firmware even better!)
- longer battery life
- camera is decent - most people don't intend to take print-quality pix with their phones anyway
- the mp3 player is easier to navigate with directional buttons
Only diff I see is that 6230i has the 1.3mp camera, bigger & brighter screen. So, it depends what are the key features you value. FFor me, the sms speed is unmatched even by the 6230i. the mp3 player is actually easier to use!

hi guys ive been using my phone for 8 monthsnow hwat i can say with this is phone . it is really functional, i really wanted this phone since it was first release in @003 but i got my phone almost at the end of the quater of the year 2004 , its great cause i gotit in a much cheaper price. unlike its first release where price is soaring high. this phone helps me a lot the organizer is good thealarm ckock, Mp3 player is really soundy, i guess the speakek of this is phone is mure louder thn MOTO E 398, but5 MOto has much greater sound quality. the ony this advantage of this phone is the screen which is relally small, but it has a wonderful keypads. 6230i is already outhere guys but i suggest if you are a 6230 user and planning to switch to 6230i chances are you will be dissapointed, because they are al most the same in features and phonts, except for the camera quality, screen qaulity where 6230i is really outstanding. and larger memory and everthing on the specs 0f the 6230 are almost the same,
so for now im planning to get the sony K750i for a change but ill buy it when the price is getting down,but for now ill still kee my great 6230!

i have nokia 6230 & i have probleme with the Operator Logo !!
does anyone know what is the wrong ?
i m downloading the Operator logos (Blank) but its not saving ?? says 'saving failed'
why so ?
can anyone tell ? anyone knows ?

actually the 6230i can handle up to 2gb of memory and u can buy the memory cards from mobymemory.co.uk :) get ur facts right

see to be honest, there aint much difference with the 6230i, cameras better and longer recording time, different layout of menus and stuff, but the 6230 has a bigger memory upgrade capacity, upto 1 gig, the 6230i can only handle 528mb so im sticking wit the 6230 so should u all!!

i have had a number of top phones and this nokia 6230 is the best so far i mean i always wanted a phone with blutooth,video,radio and mp3 in one unit and not a bad price and now i have it thanks nokia

rob, i had a word with my engineer who works for nokia in england good mate of mine, he said that u may have to get your software updated and possibly get the phone flashed (factory reset) you will lose everything on the phone so save phone numbers to sim card and take out memory card aswell.

the phone is just perfect. no problems. ive had it two years and it is still going on strong. if i was to get a new phone it would be just another one like it or the updated version.

ive got the phone, and i think it is a great phone to have, because you can listen to your music player whilst playing beach rally or golf or something like that, also i think the design of it is cool.
