One of the best phones that ive ever come across the 6230 has every thing from blue tooth to FM radio except a good design but thats not a problem cause the features of the phone actually compensates for the design

i have had the phone for over 10 months now, it is great, but i still have one question, can i download programs that can prolong video shooting and enhance the image, and if it is possible, where can i find such software, on the net or in Damascus, Syria (middle east)
oh, did anyone tried to compare it to Samsung SGH-E530, what is the differnce, other that the shape of course.
email me if you have answers to my questions

Desidon, if you are still having that problem with your nokia 6230, I had just the same problem last week, are you using your MMC card and running on the max or near to the max of the memory? I cleared out my 128mb mmc card and now it works perfect no more freezing, I think when you fill it up thats what happens. If that does not work then it might be your firmware and you might need to get it flashed to the new version, lmk if the memory card issue works with you thanks

To download your games to this phone, you can either run via wap or else a connection with also pc suite. The site I use is www.getjar.com
Their games are free, so I take advantage but be sure to download the right one when there select your right phone model then youll go to games and be able to download your applications or games, Have fun tryin to do it if you have any problems just email me and I will be willing to help you out.

Ive read some of you people are having bluetooth problems, is it the bluetooth dongle or headset? What I did is download nokia pc suite, install it then go to manage connections and instead of your bluetooth program, i clicked microsoft bluetooth or so, then it works now, everytime i plug in my bluetooth dongle the phone is detected and connected and I send plenty of things, if you guys have trouble shooting just send me a email and I can provide you screen shots of how to do it.

VIC,it depends what MMC card you use but I went to a nokia dealer and they said 2gb is the max this phone can handle, but be aware the more memory you put in the more slower it will operate.

Motorola v3 is trash... what you want style? if you want style dont bother with the nokia 6230, this isnt the phone for style, now if you want to compare, v3 menu is exactly like the motorola v300 or your daily common motorola you see everywhere.. its just a matter of fact of slimness. but even fat.

I have read some comparisons of this phone to the V3. What are you people smoking, I would like to get some of that stuff. Especial the orginal Jamacain, I here they have some good stuff down there. Anyway, V3 still is in a class by itself, the 6230 is nothing but your typical NOKIA brick.

I've now had my 6230 for over a year and I've taken 27,000 photos on it. It started with a few too many travel snaps (taking advantage of a 128mb mmc) and now I use the sequences of time lapses and now vjing at clubs. Its still going strong but the phone shop convinced me that the Sony Erricson K750i was the only phone to get. True enough, its quite an incredible phone and took some sharp photos, but it's bigger, you have to hold it like a camera and wait second or two before it takes a picture. Despite the handy light on the front, the big card capacity and the better battery life, it just didn't have the discretion, simplicity and speed of the little Nokia, so I've sold it and bought a new battery.

6230 is a great phone but when i was using it i found some problems. The main one that i noticed was the joystick. When u try to click down for the menu it clicks up.Its a little hard to use. Also the speaker is not very loud. And the last one is u cant keep applications open and go to another one like the 6600,6620,and 6630.Id give the phone a rateing of 7 out of 10.It looks nice and its a good size but id rather have my favorite phone of all time.the 6620.

Leo thank you for your input in regards to my bluetooth problem. My phone has been turned off and on many times and that still didn't do the trick.
Now I have to take you on for what you said about the 6230 being long and ugly ??? And the fantastic camera being crap ??? You must be out of your mind!!! First of all if you think the Nokia 6230 is too long and ugly then you OBVIOUSLY haven't seen the NEC e313. The 6230 camera is better than the V3 in my opinion. The ultimate viewing of photos are done on a computer screen and the V3 doesn't live up to it's expectations when viewing the photos on a PC. CNET, the hardest reviewing company out there said they found the 6230 cam to be the best compared to other Nokia phones and viewing the photos on the phone screen are a pleasure. The 6230 might not be the very latest phone out there but it still has the latest features and still box up the competition. Zeen iyah!!!

Hi have this phone and my old phone has a problem bout that bluetooth thing to. What i did was turn the phone off again and then on it should work.
But i dont really like this phone from the fact it is too long and ugly. The memory is good but the qualitiy of the camera is crap compared 2 a v3 which also uses a vga camera.
