This is a GREAT phone. The features are great, and you wont find a more 'user friendly' phone. I switched from a 6230 to a D500 before I bought the 6230i & got rid of it within a week. 6230i is just so easy to use. Read the manual, there are step by step intructions for every function.
The only negative so far (in 6mths) i've had with this phone is like the other dude. The housing seems to be loose & squeeky. New Nokia housings in Australia are $65 so I wont be trying that to fix it. Other than that it's the best Nokia I've had so far. If only it came in pink...

they are not telling the truth in the review the pictures are very sharp and clear, perfect 1,3 mpx ! friends got one and its cristal clear, the rest of the phone is fine but the display is tiny and the mp3 loud speaker is very quiet if you want to play songs in crowded areas and still hear them, steer well clear

You just push and hold down the left side key a while, then the phone invites you to say the name or the word (the voice tag), and then if matched with your original recording, the phone starts dialing the respective number.

Mustapha, this phone is really a lovely masterpiece. And it's not about it having or not having flaws, there cannot be any phone without even a minor flaw! Likewise, this phone does have ones (btw very few and very minor ones). But, it's so cool, so sexy, so solid, so rich of positive aura and so approving, let alone its quality and reliability both in terms of connectivity and functionality. So, to me, this is really one of the best choices available on the market.

mathew you souldn't trade your nokia becouse SE basic functions (i.e. conviniecne of using them- sms, alarm with snozze) are better in Nokia.

hello. i have a nokia 6230i and is now 6 months old. it was a nice phone to start with but a number of well known problems have came to light. the speeker(the one you listen to when another person calls you) starts to distort then sounds raspy or rough around the edges when some one is talking to you.and now and again the mms/sms tune you pick to play when you get a messsge stsrts of very low then sudenly gets loud even though it is set to ringing in the options menu.the phone casings become less tight and start to squeek when you handle the phone .can i get it fixed?? well it is just 6 months old but i have missplaced the bill of sale so nokia will not fix it..even though they know it is just 6 months old..in short..nokia after sales service is pure crap as they do not want to know if you loose your bill of sale even though it is be under 12 months old..and the strange thing is nokia can tell you when the phone was made but they still refuse to fix your phone under the 12 months g/tee....so remember when buying a phone look at what the after sales service is like as phones advance month by month and things do go wrong next time just buy a cheap mobile phone and use it as getting things fixed by nokia..lol

A stunning, compact piece of kit that really doesn't let you down. Good camera quality, good video quality although you can't zoom in and out on video mode.

The push-to-talk feature hasn't gone live yet, but it will be pretty handy when it does I'd imagine. A good selection of ringtones, images and profiles choices already in the phone when purchased, and they can be topped up when you but it.

I'd recommend this phone to anyone.

nicky, as far as i can see u cant zoom in while recording video. if your basing your decision on the video, this phone prob isnt for u, video quality isnt great. doesnt bother me tho. its a great phone
