Hi Sukhbinder,
I have checked my phone and in this too the ringtone ascends once you set it to the Max (5) volume. The first cycle of the ringtone shall be played at a lower level (may be 4) and then it goes to level 5. So only the first cycle should be an issue and if the ringtone length is small I dont think this should matter.

Btw I think this is more a software issue, rather than a hardware issue, so maybe after I upgrade to 3.30 I can try out again to see the result. I have seen posts of people having 3.40 and this issue still not solved.

    hi all.

    if u wanna change d wallpaper. jus go to settings, display settings n go to wallpaper n change. don think that will affect the rest of the theme and the ring tones.

    and for the ringing tone changing problem. sometimes if u select a tone from ur card memorywhile ringing u may hear the default nokia tone. its better tat u copy tat file from d memry card to the fone memory. select it then. will work. i had tat problem. hope it helps. memory

      Hey MAC, nothing wrong with your PC Suite. The DKU2 cable only works to enable your phone as a storage. Thay's why it's good to set your camera to save the pics/vids straight to a folder in the MMC rather than default folder. If you want to access to the phone memory via Phone Browser, connect your phone to the PC Suite via IR or BT. Why DKU2 can't do this? Beats me.

        hey guys can someone answer my questions?

        i know how to set the wall paper. but if u go to the list of menu there is like this wall paper set my the theme, how do i get rid of it?

        but if i select a theme i have to redo the entire ring tone settings again.

        is there a way to get rid or change that menu wall paper?

          i hav set a ringtones in my profile but den tat ringtone wil automatically change 2 sum other ringtone..do u guys facing d same prob as me?wats d solution 4 it?thx..

            hey guys, do u guys have this problem after using the voice tag to make a call the ring tone become really low after even if you got it on ring tone setting 4?

              its great phone but it have 1 problem when u put themes in it and u apply it and when theme is dark mean if its color is black then when u read message the background color is black and u cant read message coz the writting color is also black and background is also black can any one help me plz message me plzplz

                hey mac

                well d problem is tat ur copy of windows OS may be pirated. the pc suite only works with copyrighted windows software. so no matter wat drivers u install for d cable,it wont work. so d max u can do is to use d phone as a storage device which i think is more than enough. i just bother abt transferrin music n pics so works well for me. great phone but the battery life is too bad don u all think?

                  Hello to all! m having a problem connecting 6230i with pc via Nokia DKU-2 cable. i installed PC Suite 6.4 and latest cable drivers seperately. The phone works good if selected as data storage device but if i dont then the phone is not displayed in Nokia Phone Browser in My Computer. Anyone who may help plz email me the solution. Thanks.

                    i'm loving this phone. there's only one irritant however, which i wonder if anyone knows how to solve it. whenever i type a message and press send, by default it will display a phone number from my message inbox. hence i have to clear that number before keying in the acutal number i want to send to, which is pretty silly.

                      HI Kewl,
                      Glad to know that i could help u out. I have a favor to ask u, can u please check up if your phone of thr July batch has the ascending ringer tone and ascending SMS tone problem when u set the ringing volume to maximum and give me post in this forum. it'll be of great help because if the problem is not there then i'll catch nokia and ask them to give me the latest batch of phones. Eversince i got this phone its been a headache for me, but i like it for its rich features.

                          yup u cannot play *.sis files in this since its a series 40 os *.sis files are for series 60 cells i.e 6600
                          try these two websites :
                          www.mobango.com and imserba.com u sould be able to find some games ringtones etc in here b'cause there are plenty of like minded people sharing their data and stuff there

                              Bought it 2 weeks ago.UNHAPPY. the dictaphone is SO SILENT. Cannot increase the volume. Cannot record conversations also. The video recording is also so SILENT. The one hour audio recording was impressive but the volume is SO SILENT. I cannot get any satisfaction from listening a recorded song. RUBBISH!!!!

                                I bought this phone in the week and i love it. I had the 6610i before this and i think that the sound was better on that then the 6230i but its nothing to worry about. And also the battery life is not that good on it, but perhaps that is because i keep messing around on it.

                                  Hi,
                                  Can anyone please tell me - in very simple language - exactly how to get music tracks (mp3's) to play when they are stored on a memory card (I have a card reader/writer).
                                  1. Do I have to put them onto my memory card in any particular or special way?
                                  2. Can I get them to play one after another without having to push play for each track?
                                  3. Is there anything else I need to know or do?

                                    Ohh! One more thing! Ivan don't buy samsung e730 phone because it have no memory slot! And 92 Mb memory is not enough in a mp3 playing phone! So think in Z500 and 6230i! But i offer 6230i! I'm going to buy that phone too! Bye: Hege!

                                      Nokia 6230i is one of the best phones! The only Problem with this phone is it have only 65k color screen! But there is much more good things in this than bad! So i say it is one of the best phones at the moment!

                                        I have a 623oi with software version 3.4o Didn't have problems so far with ascendent ringtones, mp3/video player. However, i hear my own voice in the headphone (a minimum echo). What menu is missing?
