    Hey Rich,
You can use MP3 EasySplitter. I personally use this software to cut mp3's into small pieces for the ringtones. You can set start and end positions of the mp3 while its playing and thus split the file. I find it very convenient as I can decide which part to take for the ringtone. There are other softwares also but I find them inaccurate, you set a start position in them but they paly a little more or less thus ruining the piece. Cool MP3 Splitter is one of them. Anyways enjoy with your ringtones Buddy.

Definately Nokia k230i! Just think about the storage possibilities...D500 only've got about 90MB or so internal memory, while you can expand your Nokia memory almost indefinetely!

I bought the first shipment of 6230i where I trade in my 6230. I discovered that the ring and msg tone set to highest and still always auto ascending, initially I was told that first shipment may have some software problem. Sold off after a 2 weeks old and bought a new 6230i again and very dissappointed that the same ascending problem occured and the agent then told me that it was like that (I can't believe such things can happen in nokia high end phone).

The ascending ringing and message tone really piss me off and now I have changed to sonyericsson k750i (very loud ring and msg tone). The K750i were greatly improved from the K700i-faster response, longer battery life, 2 megapixel camera as one of the best camera in the market or the near future.

Talking about camera, 6230i screen is small, so when you take pictures indoor-it looked good on the phone but when you upload to the PC, the picture is snowzy.

                  I have a problem with configuring e-mail.

It says the datas are incompletes. But there is nowhere to fill them.
Is there anyone who can send/receive email properly ?

                  thanks.

i recieved the 6230i as an upgrade which i returned because i found that when i selected level 5 ringing volume, the message tone volume was very low when i recieved a message. to alter this i had to lower the volume to hear it but then my ringing volume was too low when recieving a call. Obviously this should not be happening. Is there anybody out there that has experienced this problem? Just to add, I also experienced an ascending ring when having selected 'ringing' in the tones menu. Thanks Nokia Buddy's! E-mail me on jamesl007dj@hotmail.com

Its realy a good fone and a biuetifull phone!
its better than 6230 at least for 3x, nice display nice colors a good options, but i have some problems with this phone, so if you are watching a video on this phone and then click pause the video, its blocks the phone, i must restart it every time, and the pictuers are not that quality as its shown on the review. all other things are great, a very long time for recording sounds and video...

Hi joseph, no problem, default supposed to be "disable". You may save or not save sent messages into folder.

Is this also like the 6230 that automatically saves sent text message in the SENT folder? If it does, can it be disabled? Anyone please? Thanks.

Actually a phone is only a phone, cannot expect too much, but, if it designed to have the feature, it must work & this is how I feel. Like my friends told me, like music should go to buy a MP3 player now with tuner somemore, why so keen on mobile phone. Finally I realized its true.
One more point on the battery, doesn't know whether the phone consume too much or the battery cannot support. Nokia is going down hill if their engineers don't take this into considerations.
