to me.. this phone is very satisfying.. it has almost everything.. the sound quality deffinately beats most of the nokia phones out there because most nokia phones, the sound quality is horrible..

how do u install extra software in a phone. I transferd the .jar and .jad file to the memory card. On opening it, i have the message 'file format not supported". The same files are easily installed on other nokia phones.

i have noticed that the bluetooth fails to connect to different mobiles. Nokia phones are not to bad tho. is anyone having the same problem?

Seems the problem with battery life is constantly rearing its head so for all thouse with duration probs this should help.The supplied charger with the phone pumps out charge faster than the original round shaped charger, also the chargers are not consistant in their stated specs. Completely drain battery and recharge for 24hrs using the older type charger, 70% of people should find marked improvement

Battery
There's basically nothing you can do if your battery drains in 40h.. mine is around 48hours with minimum usage.. I've been to the service center twice and spending almost 3 weeks, and there's no improvement. I have complained to them but no response..
It's a bit of technical failure coz the battery works 100%(according their test report as well as I have tried my battery on another Nokia, it works great) If you're lucky it's really a great phone with long battery life, if not.. then you can skip the long battery life :o) Just power management problem which they don't know what.
Software version doesnt really matters, my friend got a 3.30 version but the battery last long(normally like Nokia do)

I have Nokia 6230i but it has battery problem. Its battery drains in 40 hours with minimul usage. kindly tell me if there is any way to improve the battery timing??

after months using this phone it start ascending a little longer than usual. usually it takes only few sec from soft to loud but after i change my mmc with other frenz it takes more than 15 sec from soft to loud. the only solution i hv is to turn on & off the hp. is it a firmware prob or what?

512MB max for each application.
Cannot run JAVA from MMC card.

i feel that this phone is great tool.
the infra red work well with my laptop, bluethooth never cuts out, can even leave my phone in an other room and still answer phone calls, i got a 256MB card and there is just too much space, it's just a bit slow when you save a pic as wallpaper... bought mine in hongkong great deals over there... just buy people... don't think any more
