HSDPA and Wi-Fi are the only things it lacks. Also a 3.2M camera. But I've been using it for 2 weeks now and it's close to perfect. Pls dont add a second camera to it. A video call is not welcomed by too many guys.

Hey missr - I've checked out, and there's no option to increase the volume of the alarm ringtone. However, if you let it ring, it gets louder and louder, in an increasing frenzy - mine's quite loud - but that's after 3-4 rings...Try it out - maybe that could help you? My old nokia used to ring the alarm straigh off, from the very first ring it'd as loud as it gets...That used to scare the living doodoo out of me in the mornings...this one, on the other hand, is a bit slow, but gets there, and can be quite loud in a quiet room at 5am....Anyway, enough of that - sorry, gone day dreaming again....Give it a try, set it off during a time that suits you and watch it blow - see if that helps - otherwise you could use another ringing tone - like an mp3 perhaps? Cheerio - roger

Hey Surferguy....Yeah, I thought the review gives it straight too, and the phone definitely deservs it - however, did you see the bit about the battery, where it states it should hold out for 4 days without charge? Well, mine lasts 2 to 2 1/2 days, that's having a fair use of it. If I don't get too many calls, and just the odd mp3 playing, and texting, then I get around 3 and a half days - Still, not too bad. I am fully working this battery, using it till it turns the phone off, then fully recharging it - Done it 3/4 times now - let's hope the battery gains a bit more "oooomph" for a longer life... Anyway, cheerio bruv. Where are you typing from anyway? Curiosity killed the cat, hehe!

I am slowly working up the list of entries here.... This is to the unnamed entry - YES, this phone allows you to make phone calls. However, please remember to insert your sim card, below the battery, and switch the phone on. Moreover, if you have the phone and no sim card, you can still make a phone call, to the emergency services. 999 / 112 - Hope this helps!

Hey Andre - Unfortunately it seems Nokia dis not fully work hard on this little nag - when you change your theme, the ringtonw changes with it....This is something us, 6233 owners, are learning to live with. I hope you can put up with it - the 6233 is such a nice phone..! take care, roger

Hey Miranda,
There are settings to display your call time on screen - the one i get is displayed at the end of the call, showing how long that call lasted. Also, SMS sent items needs to be set - so that you get to keep a copy of your sent items in the sent items folder...Finally - the delivery report (message that informs the text has been delivered to the recipient) can be set on the Text menu. Go to text messages - scroll down to the bottom, look for settings and have a look there - it should be easy to find. Hope you are enjoying your phone. Tata, roger

Hey Surferguy - No....The ascending ring tone is still there - unless the volume is lowered, as you mentioned. Also, I know this makes no sense, but I was listening to music the other day, and decided to check my emails(all on the 6233) - Well...Once you start the Email application, the MP3 Player Stops!!! I've searched for a way around it, but go nowhere. When i finished with the email - the player carried on...Weird. I know Nokia states on their website "Business then pleasure" but my emailing was strictly not business...! hehe - another one to add up to our list of discoveries! ta - roger

Hi all,
I'm curious... since the 6233 was released recently, the Nokia Digital Pen product compatibility doesn't show if the 6233 is supported. Which I'm guessing it should since both devices uses bluetooth. Could someone confirm if the 6233 infact does or does not work with the Nokia Digital Pen?
cheers,
ramie

Miranda
Hi again. Yes I'm afraid one thing you can't do on a Nokia is to have a time duration readout when a call is being made. You can however set the phone to display the duration of a call directly after it has been concluded. Go to Settings>Callsettings>Sumary after call>Yes.
In respect of saving your sent items, go to Messages>Message settings>Text messages>Save sent messages. Then make your selection.
Message Delivered notification comes through your network or may be in delivery report - not sure where that is at the moment. You may of course also check this with your network's customer service. Did you say you were with T-Mobile?
Best wishes - Harrison
