    Sorry, some typo error..

÷File transfer no issue, but pairing with PC for the first time will overide screensaver & require re-start to solve that.

To share on some questions with all fans...don't know whether anyone out there plays the set so well..
      •About Bluetooth:-
÷File transfer no issue, but pairing for the first time will over screensaver.
÷File send direct fm PC-Phone using "Send to" option will fail IF file size exceeding the share memory.(Internal) the worst thing that it will not prompt.
      •About SD Card:-
Self create folder, if storage "photos" will slow down in opening. Photos taken by built in camera will not, regardless of file sizes.....
Wonder anyone can play deeper in & share something special other than repeating comments.

HI Guys. I am now a proud owner of a Nokia 6233, in black colour. A few points:
1 - It does not overheat after a few minutes on a call.
2 - The charger plug is different from the normal nokia. It is the same shape but much smaller.
3 - The menu is a lot faster than 6230i, i mean, a LOT! And it is so much nicer!
        4 - CAmera is fantastic for a 2mp.
5 - no more changing fascias!!! Fantastic feel to the phone.
6 - Sound is great, incl headphone and speaker.
7 - MP3 can be used as ringtone.
8 - Battery seems to be taking it nicely too.
9 - Any questions, please ask away! please, when emailing, write "gsmarena 6233 query" on the subject field, otherwise your email will go to junk box.
        10 - Thanks for reading!

hi guys! i currently own the 6230i and am very satisfied with it. Was thinking between the SE k 800i, nokia 6233 or nokia n73 for my new contract. The k800i was nice but, i somehow have a aversion towards the joystick and hence have decided not to go for it. between the n73 and 6233, i prefer the latter because all the phones in the n-series are very slow. my question is with the internal memory of only 6mb have a negative effect or not. is it enough????

I would like to know if Quick office can be installed and used on the Series S40 phone like it can be installed on the S60 Series Nokia N70 phone. In other words would one be able to view word and excel files on the Nokia 6233.

Can someone who already owns a 6233 please confirm whether it can play WMA files? I've seen specs that say yes, yet Nokia's official specs doesn't include WMA as one of the file types the music player can play. Thanks in advance for your help.

Ive had all the latest top end phones, including the N91.The 6233 is by far Nokia's BEST all round phone.Made in Germany, build quality is superb. The screen is without doubt the sharpest and brightest of them all.The sound quality is the loudest of ANY walkman type phone (puts the sony ericsson W810i in the 3rd division)and it is not top end 'tinny'like most phones.Ive had no problems with the software (unlike the N91!!)Bluetooth and infrared transfers,no problem either.I think the keypad and chrome surround look much better than its brother, the 6234 (which looks too much like a sharp gx15)I honestly can't find anything that i dont like about this phone. Thanks Nokia.Im gonna keep this one!! Hazza.

Has the 6233 got Bluetooth A2DP profile ? The specs don't say. If not I'll probably consider buying the SE K610 instead. Streaming music wirelessly to bluetooth stereo headphones is the future.

6233 is supposed to be part of the nokia classic series - i heard - thats why it looks a bit more retro than usual. But on the whole its quite packed with features etc.

I don't mind 'DISAPPOINTED' posting his dislike about the 500 contact storage in the 6233. When I heard of the 6280's ability to only store 500 contacts, seeing that it uses the same OS (s40 v3), I said to myself that if the 6233 comes with the same 500 contacts limit I wouldn't be getting it. I currently own a 6230 and it stores 1,000 contact so why should I upgrade to a downgrade, if you know what I mean. The fact that 6233 is a update to 6230 & 6230i then it should follow the trend of having a capacity of 1,000 contacts. Nokia should have went head over heels and upgraded it to 2,000 contacts if you ask me seeing that the 6233 is the MAJOR update to 6230. Even the blasted 6131 is able to store 1,000 and that is a lower-end model to the 6233. The way I see it, the only phone that hasn't lacked in any area worth mentioning is the 6230. I think I will just stick to it and continue seeing it as PRECISION and ENJOY IT as Nokia's official site boasted. The 6230 still dominates !!!

How does 6233 mp3 files sound as a RIIINGTOOONE.. Is it loud and clear even from the beginning??? OR is it lower??

                              Greetings all,

I received my new 6233 this week and am thus far very happy with the purchase. The excellent keypad, clear interface and good reception mean that this is a great phone for texting, which is what I primarily use it for.

I do have a couple of questions though, and would be very greatful for any answers:

                              i) The tech spec of the phone on the Nokia website refers to "3d sound effects". Is there a setting on the phone for this somewhere, or is the phrase just marketing speak for stereo speakers?

ii) I keep trying to remove "voice mail" from the left go to context sensitive button off the main menu, but it keeps reappearing... any thoughts as to why?

iii) Finally, when I try sending a text message via a bluetooth connection using Nokia PC Suite (v6.7, the one that came with the phone), the message is sent fine, but it does not appear in the "Sent items" folder. Is there any way I can make this happen?

Thanks for any assistance, if there are any questions I can answer please feel free to ask.

                              Kind regards,
                              spann

Hey guys, can you all double check on the specs of this phone, mind you, it has got stereo speakers! (2.. Dual) Sound produce is better than w800i, k750i and w810i. i'm not making any false statement cos i do own w810i with me now! Though with headset on, w810i's sound is very good but in terms of external reproductions 6233 can beat them hands down. Well let me also state that sound produced from 6233's headset is pretty good too!

2nd, i don't experience 'heating' issues! My phone calls are on the average 1hour and phone doesn't behaved anything unusual.

I do agree that phone's in general will have problems cos they're eletronic device afterall.. Not just 6233 but any phones will tend to have manufacturing faults! BUT THEY DO NOT REPRESENT THE MAJORITY! (at least for me cos till now mine works like a dream!)

Can you guys post more 'intellectual' comments or questions that are still not answered cos most of the necessary 'doubts' or 'questions' had been answered! Make that effort to go through previous posting yeah?

(My 2 cents worth and personal comments)

I just bought this phone and very disappointed i am. With the 1000 contacts storage in 3230, I cant even move them into 6233 with only limited 500 contacts storage. Therefore, if you are serious people with lots of contacts, think thrice on this model. Why does Nokia always comes out with shortcoming on every model!!!

When you use mp3 as a ringtone, does it sound loud and well????

                                        Better than k750i and w800i ????
