This phone is WDCMA capable of course. Are there other 3G networks on which this will not operate? if so, are there similar phones that will operate on all upcoming 3G networks? Is it CDMA 2000 that I am thinking about perhaps?

will the photo resolution decrease when you use the zoom like in the 6230i? when i zoom with the 230i the photos are at 640x480 and 320x240

First of all, I look forward to owning the Nokia 6233.
          I
n regards to what 'Hani' said about most people being fooled by Nokia's marketing team in believing that the phone has 70MB built in memory, HANI, they weren't fooled, it seems Nokia made a mistake in the early stages of the specs. list on their site. When I first saw the official page for N6233 on Nokia's own site, it indeed said 70MB built in memory and they didn't have anything bracketed beside that. I saved that page the first time I saw it. Today they have corrected the error and stated that it's 6MB internal + 64MB mem.card).

In regards to what 'Absar' said about N6233 not being able to accept huge files because of it's low internal memory, compared to the 6230i. It doesn't really bother me a lot because transferring huge files via IrDA or even BLUETOOTH takes TOO LONG. I wouldn't want to sit and wait for a 6MB file to be transferred to my phone wirelessly, takes too damn long. Unless I meet a stranger and really want a file from their phone, certainly wireless transmission is the answer BUT overall I use my DATA CABLE to send files to my phone. Not being able to accept HUGE FILES wirelessly is NOT a problematic issue for me.

To everybody else who has their complaints in regards to design etc. I do agree that the 6230 & 6230i may have a better design BASED on the looks of the photo but it's best not to judge something until you have it in your hand. Many times things look attractive on screen BUT looks completely different in reality so I don't judge until I have these things in my possession.
Other than that, to all you people who complains about N6233 design, if you want something flashy check out the 7 series line because the 6 series focuses on features and business, NOT looks. Personally, I believe the 623x series are the best (in terms of features) as they all include some exclusitivity that you don't find in any other Nokia phone OR only find in the series 60 phones (Symbian). Check out what I mean below:

          Nokia 6230:
There were quite a few innovations, but just to name a few, the TFT 65k screen was the first in a series 40 phone, VGA camera & camcorder, MP3 player and one of the few phones to support MMC (3300 music phone is the only other S40 I know with one). First phone to implement the S40 ver.2.0 OS, first S40 phone I know of to have 6MB of memory, voice command and there's more! With it's unbelieve feature set, the 6230 will probably be the greatest Nokia of all time.

          Nokia 6230i:
First S40 phone to have a Megapixel camera. First s40 phone to have a 208x208 display and the first s40 phone to have 32MB internal memory!!! Just a few enhancements over 6230 but there's still some exclusitivity.

Nokia 6233: One of the very few s40 phone to include VIDEO SHARING, only 11 phones so far have this feature and 9 of them are Symbian phones (series 60). Funny enough, the only other s40 to have this feature is also in the 6xxx line.
One of the FIRST s40 phone to include a 2MP camera with 8x digital zoom.
First or one of the first Nokia to include 2 SPEAKERS, both in stereo and 3D surround.
Also one of the first to include a QVGA display with 262,144 colours.

Anyway you take it, all 3 phones brought exclusive features to the series 40 line up.
Some people complained that the 6230 screen was too small and NOW they have gotten a larger screen with the 6233. But the way I see it, some compromises had to be made because a larger screen means smaller buttons IF a similar size is to be maintained as it's predecessors. With such a big screen not much room is left for a decorative finish. No matter the brand or the phone, the whole world WILL NEVER BE PLEASED with any 'one' phone.
As I said before, if it's style you want check out the 7xxx series. In closing I would like to say, people, be PRACTICAL, you CAN'T have your cake and eat it too, YOU CAN'T GET EVERY DESIRE IN A SINGLE PHONE!!!

Dear there is low memory in the phone there is just 6mb while on other hand 6230i has about 32 mb internet memory. That mean we wont will be able to accept huge files.

i have a nokia 6230i and i'm planning to buy the 6233, the 6233 uses the CA-43 data cable.
will i be able to use my DKU-2 cable of my 6230i with the 6233. these nokia guys keep changing all accesories with their phones. even my older MMC will not be compatible with the new one for the 6233. any suggestions?

I have a nokia 6230i, it's a great phone packed with features. i'm looking forward to the new 6233. i hope nokia does not keep the annoying ascending ringtone problem in the 6233 as was the case with the 6230i. nokia has changed the shape of the 6233, i prefer the old 6230/6230i shape. will the two stereo speakers really produce 3D sound or is it a gimmick. where's the memory gone? 32Mb to 6 Mb and even the MMC card has been changed to a RS type. still waiting for its release

Most of the fones when they are released are outdated.
It's difficult to keep up with technology
