Hi, thinking of 6260. my basic need GPRS/Internet (laptop) on the fly, good storage capacity (contacts/music/clips etc), ok cam, ok music, stylish, most IMP value for money. Does this phone suffice my reqts - kindly suggest in short pls.
Anybody has idea abt cost (bill/wrnty) in Mumbai/India ? Thanks in advance...

I have finally bought the 6260!
I love the features, even though the phone is quite complicated. I have a few grouses though:
1. How do I get Word documents onto my phone for viewing? Is it only via email?
2. I can't create shortcuts for the truly necessary items, like Create New Text Message, Gallery, Alarm Clock, Real Player, etc.
3. I only have ONE game on the phone- Snake!
4. Sometimes when I'm entereing a new word during a text message creation, the phone will announce an application error and quit the creation without saving.
Any help, anyone?

I dont yet have my phone, though i have bought it and its underway but i read that it only fits the RS MMC! So if you have the normal MMC, its too big in size to fit the 6260 according to the reading i have at hand!

People i need to know, is it true that some sales man at a shop in Uk said that the NOKIA 6260 is no longer manufactured becasue it has a fault? I eman, usually some sales person says that as they try to convince you to go for something else. This is becasue my freind in UK went to pick up one for me in Portmouth and was told in most shops it was out of stock out of stock and 1 sales person ended to say, anyway the phone is no longer manufactured! I need to know if this is true. But hei, im on luv with the phone, i have one, but still on the way by post to reach me here in Iceland.....

I have recently discovered a bug in Nokia 6260 (Firmware v3.0448.0). When the network signal is very low (or if it diminishes completely temporarily), the Nokia 6260 actually reboots and asks for the date & time configuartion on the next startup. As far as I know, many other users are facing the same problem - especially in India where the network ceases at times.

I bought the 6260 a month ago and I am very satisfied with its so far. The design is pure class. It has no curves or ridiculous ornaments on it. Just pure functionality.
The radio is great and very useful; so is the e-mail-function. 6260 has almost every technical finess available on the mobilephonemarket. The possibility to turn the screen 180 degrees is a funny and impressing detail, but has only little practical value.
The only disturbing detail is the that the screenpart of the phone might seem a bit loose when it is in 90 degrees angle. Also, if you're looking for a camera, then go and get a digital camera. I think that the VGA-cam is only for capturing moments. And that's pretty much what I think of the megapixel-cameraphones too. A good camera for accurate pictures should have at least 3-4 Megapixels. If you buy a mobilephone with a megapixelacamera, you'll pay about 100 e extra just for the cam. The picturequality isn't still comparable with a digicam.
BTW. "Bounce" can be a very fascinating game when you dont feel like doing anything

Please specify the camera pixel, video capture details (like max time of video, & video resolution) & picture resoultion of digital photos. This would help us to decide on a model.
