Nokia 6270

I need an opinion. I want to get a brand new phone, and i like N6270, because the model looks like my old cell, N7650. But I think I also need PDA-phone. Fyi, I've laptop already. Since this model is not a PDA, i consider IPAQ 6365. Which one do you think i should buy?

problems occur when I try to delete some sms via file manager in PC suite. The action was failed and suddenly connection disconnected. And for the poweful and multitasking phone like 6280 I need stronger battery.

Fixed my memory issue. Took the memory card out. Inserted into a card reader/writer, and formated it FAT32, then downloaded all my MP3 songs then put it back into 6270 and it worked! The phone now shows all 1GB of songs! Now if I can just get pictures to attach to contact, the phone to beep and show icon for voice messsages.

Hey gwapz, if you know how to upgrade th Firmware on Nokia phone, can you show me the link to upgrade Nokia 7610 to test? I have a nokia 7610, for a long time with a very old firmware. After waiting for some months atleast boughtNokia6270 and to my surprise and will anyone will guide me that why the picture messgae is not forwarded to my contacts.I have gone through all the settings and the pic.mess. cant be forwarded.Buying this phone was costly for me and how come nokia has done this silly mistake.I want the answer at any cost or i will throw the phone away with zero marks.

Just got my 6270 and I have the following issues (am on cingular):
1. 1GB memory card can not be filled with MP3 files. Get to about 620MB and then seems to have file number limit. Had same issue with 6230i.
2. Can not place voice tags and phone generated tags suck.
3. Phone does not let me know of voice message. No icon, no beep.
4. Can not attach downloaded pics to contacts.

This is for Wonder.. Well like i said earlier in the thread.. there is no available FIRMWARE UPDATE for this phone yet.. I waiting for it myself.. i have some glitches to fix..
And yeah.. i will let you guys know and the link on how did i get when it comes out.
I know how to get around on things..

hmm no i didn't had that problem i upload 180 songs to the 512mb card and i had no problem with them, you should check out what you did,

This is most unpleasant: Some of my music files that I have copied to my phone via PC Suite/USB are being corrupted or damaged!!! Only MP3 so far... The Media Player 9 cant play them no more... I mean F**K!!!
Is this just my wierd issues or what? I must backup every track now on.

Please get this phone check out by Gsmarena you hear the good bits an bads an it puts people off getting this phone,i want it but i do not want to waste my money so please Gsmarena get it checked so we can review your conclusion about this mobile an finally i can make my mind if i should buy it p.s GET IT CHECKED asap

Hey gwapz, how do you upgrade your firmware for nokia phone? I search it on internet and the only answer I found is bring the phone to Nokia Care Center to upgrade to latest Firmware.

Great phone, the sound quality is superb. Everything about it is beautiful EXCEPT the plasticky menu buttons.

I can't make up my mind in wat phone to get... I basically just want a phone to take pictures for fun with flash and a kinda good quality pic. Mp3 sound is good and the design of the phone.. Other then that I'm not too fussy and one more thing is that the phone actually works and not stuff up too easily.. and enough memory with sim slot..
So people with this phone.. would u recomend me to buy this or just go for something else??

hey gigi3000 YES i have tried it.. and sad to know it didn't work on me.. yeah nokia sent the settings and i saved it.. but after i saved it and tried it on.. i couldn't connect. this msg pops up.. "Packet data connection not available" i don't know why.. im trying to seek an answer in Howardforums..
i will let you guys know if there an improvement!

I 've just read on howardforums.com that someone got the nokia 6230 settings to set up their wap/mms setting on the nokia 6270...Has anyone tried or heard of this? let me know...Can't do it on mine because i sent it back and am waiting to get a new one in 2 days.Still couldn't send or receive sms and still no voice mail icon notification...

Another issue with my phone..
When i brwose the phone faster... It constantly hangs and restart itself..
I KNOW THE RULE!! you have to keep up with your phone speed..
sometimes i can't help it!!
Well its no big deal it restarts faster anyway, unlike Symbians.
If this was a Symbian and restarts constantly.. This phone is way to gone.. EBAY!!
Its just annoying!!
