I got a Nokia 6270; it's been great so far, however recently it doesn't read my sim card and just freezes and restarts itself when I try to access the contacts on the sim card. I've tried it on another Nokia 6270 phone and it reads the card alright, so it doesn't appear to be a problem with the sim card, but rather the phone. But...I've put the sim card from the other 6270 into mine and it read that.. I'm not sure what's up there. Whether it's a phone issue or a sim card issue.

i got a 6270 the other day.
how come i get very grainy images, captured on the phone when i take pictures. and i get to compare the images with the ones taken by 6630, and the images from the 6630 looks bright and real good.
do you also get the same from your 6270.
the sound is real good. i am disappointed with my unit.

Yes, the button is a bit loose. But you dont think about it and it doesnt really bother me, nor anybody else... If it would drop of what I really dont think, then you just have to go whining for warranty.

can i ask you the 6270 users something? i read from people's reviews that the button in the middle is very loose. is that the case? how annoying is it?

no im just going to buy one of these and because of my earlier good expierince with nokia i m going to stick with 6270 and i will get it today.

u said u got it for 19k in india.hey i also live in india and it is availabel for
17200 Rs with bill and warranty and 512mb card that price was given to me by the nokia priority dealears in my city(panipat) and the other mobile suppliers were saying that after few when they would have it in stock they will sell it for 16200 Rs but i cant wait anymore i will buy it today for 17200

Be carefull what you wish for..
Its a features you might use someday..
Remember this phone is not meant for the US market.. They gotta have some use for that in other country it was focused to be launch.
Like in Europe.. I heard they use that PTT features which is very useful.. Its a walkie talkie..
They don't have that features yet available in the US for GSM.. they have it for NEXTEL..
So be carefull what you wish for.. i know its annoying.. but you can live with it right? at least your phone is glitch free..

YEAH as for my experience with the 6270 that's all what i experienced, and yeah it restarts constantly and the memory card on the gallery sometimes dissapears, i have to restart it.. but it just happen couple time, that's me do.. but there is a catch on the voicemail glitch do. its not all the phone.. its the network itself trying to communicate with the phone.. so its a luck game.. certain place don't have that error.. so my point is ot doesn't matter if you get a CINGULAR or TMOBILE service here in US you can't eacape the glitch.. that's all
But you know try your best to get the german made.. you might be in luck and get a glitch free 6270..
but i don't know why you said about getting 2 phones.. are you really getting both 6270 and K750?
It doesn't make sense.. but good luck anyway.

I recently got myself an 6270 and on the whole i am very happy the features it possess are 2nd to none for the price, The only thing I do no like is the The PUSH TO BUTTON on the side, if you carry it in a case and as you puill it out more often than not you tend to accidently hit this button, then you need to exit this feature before you can use the phone. Does anyone know if this button can be disabled or replaced with something else ?
THe other drawback on this phone is the relative short battery life.

guys, finally i got this phone with silver white colour in Malaysia. SO happy with this phone as I din expect to be so great. Watever you want, you can find it in this phone. Recommended~!

Hey Friends,
I just purchased Nokia 6270 on 7-Jan-06 in India for 19K. Believe me it's the fantastic phone. Great Resolution, 2MP camera, FM radio,MP3 player,Media player and above all 512MB external miniSD card which I got with it adds tru meaning to this phone. I think it's a better phone than any other phone with similar features or brands.
I heard from somebody saying that we cannot directly store camera photos to miniSD card..But there is option in the phone where you can specify where your photos should be saved.
Once again great phone. I would recommend it to all who want a cell+MP3 player+camera in one.

after reading alot of posts here i came to the point that most of the people are having problem with the voicemail icon
but i dont use voicemail and if there is any other major bug than plz tell me as tommorow i m going to buy one of these two

Well if you go to both threads.. the K750 and here at the 6270.. they both have errors..
i thought of that myself.. hmmmnn K750 or 6270?
well with my loyalty to NOKIA you know what i pick.. that is my opinion..
If they launch the FIRMWARE UPDATE for the 6270.. whoa!! its goin to be the best Series 40 phone ever!!
Size wise 6270 is a little bit bigger..

You Need a FIRMWARE UPDATE!!
Unluckily your matter of problem is worse than other people are experiencing, and the 2nd of all there is no available Firmware update yet for this phone..
So i guess you wait..

As an added note, the phone also acts like a memory stick. Just plug it in the pc's USB, select data storage from the phone option and thats it. The pc would detect the kingston memory card and you could transfer files as if your using a flash drive or memory stick.

You better check the specifications again for the Nokia 6270. There is FM radio. There is infrared, memory is 512MB. As far as im concerned, this is the real deal. As of the moment, no phone possesses all the available features this phone has. Even if they do, in a head to head competition....the nokia 6270 will burn them clean. Forget about the physical look that most deem as plain. If you look at it, its a classic. The phone goes back to its simplified roots.

I've got a new 6270, 2 days back. As soon as I inserted the battery and switched it on, with in 20 secs its screen went blank and seemed like it restarted, but as soon as its screen was back it showed a blank white screen with just the battery indicator, no nokia startup animation. I'm facing this problem intermittently. does anyone know about this problem? daily at least 2-4 times I am facing this problem. can anyone help?
