well both phones have alot of BUGS and ERRORS!!
I don't know what's the deal with Nokia, this is the 1st time it happens. alot of phones that are coming out right now from them, came with error too.. i suggest you wait. because both phones don't even have a latest FIRMWARE UPDATE yet to fix the problem.. your just gonna be upset if you get em right now.. that is why i sold mine.. well i still recommend it.. if they fix the errors

i saw some auctions in ebay where the phone is in preorder status. would these phones be from the 2nd wave, with bugs fixed from the 1st one? i think some of them are waiting for an official launch or something. please advice. regards.

im probably gonna downgrade myself to a 6680 and wait for the N80 which is more better.. and as for the specs.. its suites me.

My friend and I compared phones, he has a SE K750i and I´ve got Nokia 6270, my Nokias display, speakers, keypad is better. The K750i:s camera is better in very close pictures and it has got a flashlight function. Otherwise, totally equal... Oh yes, and mine has got EDGE!

bought 6270 as a xmas gift for myself.. been using it for about 2 weeks.. so far? I'm happy with the phone but I can't say that its perfect.. =P
actually my major let down was the ergonomics/construction of the phone.. After exhausting my excitement with the wonderful things this phone can do.. I started to notice that... the lower right portion of the phone is a bit off.. meaning its not as seamless as the left side (when closed).THERES A GAP AT THE LOWER RIGHT SIDE where the slider and the key pad meet. Also scratches are already appearing, due to opening and closing of the slider, nothing major just small scratches and marks at the edge of the metalic/chrome surface under the "0" key, also at the lower right side of the "#" key. Not to noticeble but a bit dusturbing for a person with acute O.C.D. (obsessive compulsive disorder.. heheh this is a joke by the way.. =P). Honestly people, With all the phones I've owned.. I never scratched one.. Plus having to compare it with the SE W550 (my xmas gift for my girlfriend), I would have hoped that the nokia people could have placed a small bit of rubber or plastic where edges tend to grind with each other.
Regarding the bugs... mine's pretty much bug free, hopefully will continue this way.. the battery life is a bit short too, but pretty much well spent on hours of listening to mp3s and playing games, on standby mode lasts for days.. voice mail? dunno.. dont use it.. mp3 playing and call interruption? yup.. it pauses and continues after the call.. multitasking? you can brwose ur phone check ur sms/pics/files while playing mp3 but of course if you call or play a game the songs will definitely stop.. People also tend to say that the flash is too strong, ending up with a "drunk look image" =P
This is the first major purchase I made for myself and so far I'm not that disappointed, actually I'm still happy but I cant say I've found the perfect phone... too bad though, it was a close call..

just bought one yesterday......
in ndonesia it cost around $380 or so... and what good is that this "indonesian package" come with 512MB memory, plus an air album from local singer...
what a great fone....
the only disadvantage is:
a relatively short life of battery, only last for one and a half day or so.
beside that this fone are great....easy to use (user friendly), awesome stereo speakers, big size of MB memory card, big bright & clear screen, the slide mechanism looks great and tough.. nice design, easy to connect to PC.. great camera..

$400.. too much competition in ebay.. alot of people are selling brand new ones for cheap prices.. and alot of sellers are indicating where their phones are made.. which gave the Made in Germany a hott item..

No, you can't browse the internet, just wap it!
Otherwise phone is great, much better than Samsung sgh-d600 or Sorry Ericsson K750/W800 (no software failures).
Get it! A very good series 40 model. Camera, screen, ergonomics and all the rest are perfect.

gigi3000, I have the ATT sim card with cingular, the SMS is working fine. i can receive and send messages (even international messages). however, i still have the problem with the voice message icon, the phone doesn't indicate the icone.

What is the difference between xthml and html? Can I browse the internet using this phone? I mean the Internet not the wap. Is it possible to open and browse Internet websites on the Nokia 6270? Somebody please answer this question. Thanks!

gigi3000: no i don't have that problem. i recieve the voice mails and it tells me when i do have one.
i think its a operator problem cuz i only heard people from cingular with that problem

obviously i was refering to the likes of han who wants to know, yet again, if they can 'upgrate' the memory; or hoggie who has obv missed the 500posts regarding media file types. Do any of you people read the comments on here? Look at websites? Read any information about the phone before coming here? You all ask the same stupid questions over and over that have either been answered numerous times already or can easily be found out for yourselves.
Can the memory be upgraded? Can it hold songs? Does it use batteries? Can i make phone calls with it? Dur dur.
Jeez, go do some research.
