This is surely the most durable phone that I have ever owned!!! Some people in here living from the Philippines??? Well, you must have heard the most talked about news here in the Philippines. And that is, the sinking of the luxurious passenger ferry vessel here in the Philippines named M/V Princess of the Stars at the height of the very strong Tropical Cyclone codenamed "Frank". Why am I talking about this? Well my brother and I were actually two of the lucky survivors of that tremendous sea tragedy that happened here in the Philippines thank God! And you know what, the 6300 was in my pocket(thanks that I happened to wear thick shorts with deep pockets at the time of the sea tragedy) when we were floating at the sea for 2 days! Imagine that!!! After 2 days that we swam all the way to an islet in Romblon, my 6300 still works like a charm! Yes! No kidding here. Actually, I even managed to take a video about the actual ravaging of the very strong winds (using my 6300) gusting and trying to capsize the ferry vessel when we were riding it but sadly, my memory card can't be opened anymore so I can't view the video that I took anymore. Sigh! I even planned to upload the video to YouTube but my memory card can't be accessed (maybe it was damaged by the ocean water). I will always treasure this 6300 and will never sell it because it has a sentimental value because it became a part of the most shockening tragedy that ever happened in my life. And I'm glad that my 6300 was also a survivor!!

6300 is very Attractive fone , i love the Scren display of fone ,
But Sound Quality is bad
3250 is better than 6300

To DANISH:
Another tip you probably don't know is that when you use the 6300 the backlight stays on for a good while until it eventually fades out.
The solution is to lock the keypad and then press the 'end' key (red button). The lights will go off in 3 seconds opposed to 3 minutes if you allow to let it go off on it's own. This will save battery life.
There are many battery saving tips which I would be happy to share with all of you.

Hey guys....Nokia 6300 is the best cell phone u can ever buy... This is specially for those ppl who feel that tha battery life is very bad.
But let me tel u that the battery life is really good.... its just that some ppl dont know how to use the cell phone.
The only and the only problem 90 % of customers face is baatery problem wen listening to songs.
Problem : Most of us... I mean 90 % of Nokia 6300 users listen to music by using the memory card folder directly and then play their songs. In such cases when the song is played, the backlight remains on continously thereby consuming extra power.
Solution: Most of us do not know that Nokia 6300 has a built-in media player. When u play any song from that media player, the backlight goes off after about 20 sec, thereby saving lot of battery.
So guys....If u really want ur battery power to last long... plzzzzz play ur songs via the inbuilt media player.

I don't care what anybody says, my phone is in excellent working condition, battery life is very good (got up to 6 days already receiving calls everyday and making at least one call each along with a few texts).
The only time the battery runs out quickly is if you kill the multimedia features... but even in doing so I will still get a full day of battery life.
My Hungarian 6300 is authentic in every way. Some of you people probably need to get your phones from reputable vendors.

mobzzy, 26 Apr 2008to OJ i know all the european countries and have travelled... moreN6300 battery life just suck. After using for half a year, the phone spoilt. No sound can be hear incoming and outgoing. Went to repair at nokia care centre and compain about the battery as well. Later they change the whole new chip for me. Now less heat and battery last a little bit longer. But the battey life still lose to my 3 year BL5C battery life.How that possible ? I am been nokia fan since 90's. but now i goign to switch to sony errison for replacement. agree on the elegant look of n6300 but not it perforamnce. Googled and u will see tons of complain on this suck phone. Nokia name is ruined. I'm eyeing 900i by sony errison

super__saiyan, 09 Jul 2008Reflashin d fw costs higher dan a fon(u mean low end fon?)!... moreI Rang my service provider up and they said they cant replace it becuase they only give customers 14 days if they have a problem with the phone(its been 2 months so its expired), im going to check if any local shop can fix it(hope they do) if it costs il pay no worries..
and honestly there is NO SE centre were i live..the nearest one is in London in like 200 Miles from london another city all toghether!!!!!
my hopes are now with the local dealers....hope i can get it fixed

Its run out of warranty, theres no SE Centers were i live, it will cost(expensive) me to get it fixed privately, the SEUS failed to update it and re-flash it
so iv run out of ideas what to do with it???????
in the price to get it fixed privately i could buy a new phone instead.
im making a big deal out of it becuase im stuck with it and run out of ideas!
