i've had this phone for over a year now. although battery life isnt the best out there, this is a really good phone.
basic, and easy to use, but most of all, it's quite sturdy.
i dropped it (by accident) in the water, and i was pretty sure it was ruined forever.
but in a desperate attempt to save it, i removed the battery, dried it as much as i could, and left it out to dry, and it was working fine a few hours later, still is!

I bought this 6300 to replace my old n70, turned out I am dissapointed with all the features, except for the design, this phone actually not comfortable. You have to go to many steps before you can copy or paste some text.the camera is useless, my GF had a better camera result using her 6275i cdma.
The keypad is not ergonomic, the worst is the battery. This bl-4c battery is really useless, I got 1,5 hours of talktime only, just the same as in my n70 previously. Weird..

one more thing...can nyone suggest me a phone between the range 7k and 8.5k...
all i need is a decent enuf cam[atleast 2 megapixel] and decent mp3 player...!!!

m goin to buy this fone tommorow,
one thing i wanna aski got to knw that its stand by time is better as compared to others but talk time is mere 3.5 hours...
nywaz i want to ask is ...hw much is the back up if one listens to the mp3...???
hows the quality...???
hws the quality of the cam...???
please...which one is better...6300 or 5310...???
Please, i want cam and mp3 to work propely dats it...? and do i need to upgrade the version or somethin...?
the low battery thingy is fine with me...

I currently have nokia 6300, but i dun like it cuz of its sound and battery usage.

c, 05 Jul 20083 and half hours talktime? more like 20mins... crap phoneI have gotten more than 3 hours of talk time. Once I made a call right after charging my battery and I was able to get 3 hours 39 minutes from this phone.
Another time I made a call and spent 2 hours on that call. Shortly after that I received another call and spent another 2 hours. That was a total of 4 hours on a single charge.
My phone was made in Hungary and came with firmware revision version 5.00. I purchased it unlocked and simfree. My 6300 is as original and authentic as it gets. The only problem I have is that the ringing could be louder as I have missed calls in noisy environments.
Other than the ringing volume I have no complaints about the 6300.

Settings>Phone>Security Keyguard
This will then ask for your own personal Code to set personally
everytime you lock the keypad and then unlock it it will ask for that code
This protects people from going in your phone randomly, only youl be able to go in the phone since you have the code

Can you set up password protection for message and image folders on this phone? Similar to Samsung phones...so you're promted to insert a password everytime you access the protected folders.

please dont come back and say easy for me to say when i received my second 6300 (have 2 by the way)he he he i made them "yes" change the mobile "4" times till i was satisfied.you have to read the terms and conditons down here in SA you have a 24 hour or 7 day swop warrantee if you dont get this from your dealer you wasting your time buying it from him and dont 4get dont put the talktime up more then total of 15 mins for the first 7 days if you need to take it back for a swop out they will not swop it if it is more then 15 mins.

hi there i have been using nokia 6300 since i cant remember but the mobile has v5.0 27.04.2007.i have recently upgraded to a nokia 6120 used it for 1 month and went back to my 6300.i admit the battery life is not that great but the mobile itself is fantastic.to all those that are having problems dont waste ur time trying to figure it out here on the forum go back to supplier and get them to change the mobile.made in hungary
