    Hey OJ
battery on 6555 doesnt seem to last more than a day though we have full signal strength all over this country. so phone needn't have to struggle to search for the network draining its power. also the performance of 6555 is very unstable as far as the hearing quality from the speakers. sometimes its like a land line, loud and crystal clear and sometimes the caller sounds as if he talking from a far distance though the volume is cranked up to max. i didnt face this problem with samsungs and motorolas. (i use Motophone F3 the cheapest phone in the world for my second number and one must appreciate its performance)this problem i also noticed with the new generation low end Nokia phones especially coming from china. is the QC suffering at Nokia? if this is the case very soon Samsungs and Sony Erricsons will take over its place.
today someone gifted me Motorola RAZR V8 limited edition plated in 18 carrot gold. WOW it looks too flashy and really not to my taste. i tried to pair it with my laptop but it refuses to pair. maybe a software bug but the quality of the speaker and mic are first rate as usual the motorola tradition natural sounding. also the 2 mega pixel non- auto focus cam produces superb pics with good resolution and less noisy with absolutely no shutter lag time which helps to take quick multiple pics unlike Nokias. Few things I didn't like in moto are its too flashy, quite heavy and very slippery like a fish. I am afraid I am gonna drop it one day.

      To the FAKE WINURA:

      6131

      Standard battery, Li-Ion 820 mAh (BL-4C)
      Stand-by Up to 240 h
Talk time Up to 3 h 20 min

      It's NOT the same battery.

The Winura I know, who you can find in the E51 forum, doesn't diss Nokia like that so more than likely the Winura in here is a fake. If you check back earlier posts from this 6300 forum you will see that Winura spoke highly of Nokia as well.

Some people enjoy giving others a bad name.

It's a shame these type of people can't follow in my footsteps.

      I will remain ORIGINAL.

As I have said a million times I have NO problems with my battery. My battery is the original one which came in the package and I get more talk time than the time Nokia stated.

My reception is always full so I guess that's a big advantage.

My phone has NEVER gotten hot. The first time I charged it for 24 hours it was COLD as ICE. When I stay on a long call it's normally cool and sometimes a bit warm but NEVER hot as some you people complain about.

I have never had to switch my phone from ear to ear because of heat.

Some may say I have it too good with my phone and my phone seems flawless but it's the truth. End of story.

          To JAYSON:

The KRZR K1 is a disappointment. I have used it personally and it feels like all those other Motorolas. The screen is small and far from pretty.

The OS is the same as old Motorola phones V300, V525, V600 and other V series. Most of these are old series so it will feel like a old phone in a new shell. I have always said that the only difference with most Motorola phones are the fascia (body/shell).

I was surprised that the K1 is in a high-end bracket with such a low end screen and OS.

I will say this once again...you CAN'T go wrong with a Nokia.

Try to get Nokia 6300 and a K1, compare them and tell me which one you would happily buy.

Sony batterys and phones last much longer the 6300 is under powered as is the 6131 same battery again useless to last the distance if you go out take your charger.

                      To RONY:

Strange that you get so much power out of the 2626 compared to the 6300 as the specs. indicate otherwise:

                      Nokia 2626

                      Battery Standard battery, Li-Ion 970 mAh (BL-5C)
                      Stand-by Up to 300 h
Talk time Up to 3 h

                      Nokia 6300

                      Battery Standard battery, Li-Ion 860 mAh (BL-4C)
                      Stand-by Up to 348 h
Talk time Up to 3 h 30 min

The 6300 has a smaller capacity battery but is supposed to give you more power.

                      Nokia engineers too skill (smile).

My battery doesn't let me down.

                          To Original_Jamaican:

Thank you. I knew that sending a hundred texts a day consumes a lot of power. I never knew texting would use more power than calling, however. Anyway, I would still say that the 6300 could benefit a lot from a more powerful battery than the standard BL-4C. I owned a Nokia 2626 before I switched to a 6300 and during the days of my 2626 I would send 200 text messages a day and its battery would still last 2 to 3 days. I think the 2626 uses very little power in comparison to the 6300 since it has a small, CSTN screen and very strong (and I mean VERY STRONG) signal reception plus it uses a powerful BL-5C 1020mAH battery. It's only ironic that such a basic phone is provided with a high-capacity battery while a more feature-rich phone like the 6300 uses a less powerful battery. =(

                                To PREM:

Yes I quite agree. 6230 forum had no conflicts like this one. Up to this day I still go there and assist others who needs my help as I used to own that phone. The battery in that phone was superb, you had to use it extremely hard, and I mean extremely hard in one day, for it to run out completely.

I had the 6230 for 2 years and still like it. I had memorable moments with that phone.

The 6300 has taken it's place nicely and I DON'T regret giving up the 6230 for the 6300. The 6300 revived wallpapers once again as I had stopped using wallpapers on previous phones.

I love the 6xxx series and will continue in that route as the 7xxx and 8xxx only focus on fashion over functionality. The 6xxx series focuses on business features more than anything else so you know there's a lot of functionality.

As the GSMArena reviewer said "Nokia 6300 is a good phone". I made a good decision in purchasing this phone.

6230 forum used to have healthy discussions unlike 6300 forum which seems highly corrupted. in this forum everyone seems to confuse each one about 6300's performance. hope you agree with me.

                                    The battery
I only up to the end put the battery to charge it anew when you recharge the battery you do not receive full feedback of the battery. Only up to a minimum fallen the battery after full зарядки will give good result.
3-4 days work for me the battery provided that I listen MP3 to a player and often I communicate.
                                    Success!

SE Phones battery life lasts 4-5 Days even with 100 Texts or Calls. Beat that!

6300 was just truly Disappionting for Battery Life. i got 6 Hours out of it with like 10 Texts and 3 calls!
