To MANOJ, RONY & WINURA:
The AC-4 rapid charger is an ORIGINAL NOKIA ENHANCEMENT so no need to worry about it shortening the battery life. The rapid chargers which will shorten battery life is the generic black market chargers.
Nokia's original accessories WON'T jeopardise original Nokia products.
They would NOT make a rapid charger to ruin their battery.

do not use rapid chargers. it will spoil your battery. buy a spare battery instead. thats the bast thing to do.

to manoj: i don't really have the actual data to support these claims, just some info i read in various websites saying that rapid chargers may cause the battery to become very hot, which may cause the battery life to be shortened IN THE LONG RUN. this means, that if you use a rapid charger daily you would probably notice that after 1 year your battery starts to discharge quickly and u need to replace it with a new one, while if you used a slow charger it might take 2 years before this happens. this is just an example and might not be what would actually happen. anyhow, i regularly use a slow charger just to be safe. i only use a rapid charger when i'm in a hurry.

to Rony: Thanks a lot for suggestions. Hey is AC-8 in the market? and one more thing, if i use AC-4 daily, in which way does battery goes off, u were saying na, that it ll have poor battery life (do u mean discharge of battery also go quicker??)

Hi, just now buisy charging my new Nokia 6300... Dit let batt. drain down completely... Its been 3 hours already!! Is that normal???

to manoj: the AC-4 charger would indeed recharge a battery faster than the AC-3 charger. however, fast charging may cause the battery to heat up, which may result in decreased battery life in the long run as compared to slow charging. this is the main disadvantage of rapid chargers. i don't know about AC-5. on a side note, the new AC-8 charger, as claimed by Nokia, is the most environment friendly charger so far as it uses only 10% of electricity if in case u forget to unplug it from the socket after your phone is fully charged. you might wanna check that out also.
anyway, i suggest u use a rapid charger (e.g. AC-4) in times when u are in a hurry and need to recharge your phone real fast. other times, use the slow charger (i.e. AC-3). you will prolong the life of your battery that way.

battery backup is very poor as compared to other multimedia handsets in nokia.

Hello frnds
I am using this cell from past 4 months. Gud fone. i just have only one problem. Right now i am using AC-3 charger which taked 2.45 hrs to charge. i heard that AC-4 charger charges within 1.15 hrs. is it true? More over, in nokia site, its showing that AC-5 can also bes used.
so Which is the best one to use?? AC-3 or AC-4 or AC-5??

This is a gr8 little phone, it's ma good allrounder
The camera on it is the best 2 MP 1 i have ever seen
The 16m colours screen on it is superb compared 2 the 256K 1 on my old phone
All the silver bits are made out of metal (except keypad) so it's durable
the sound quality on it is superb
The GUI is the best I've seen on a phone
You would be absolutely mad not to buy 1 of these!!

though it is beautifull but bettry timing r not correct because its stand by time hardly goes beyond 72 hours. pakistan

Nokia 6300 is slim phone that i have.
Its a great in design, but less in keypad.. the keypad is too small for me.
I can make/modification nokia themes by PC in 1 minute.
