To WINURA:

The travel charger I'm talking about is not the one you are talking about. The charger I'm talking about is to be used indoors. You plug it into a wall outlet, not directly in the phone.

It's basically the same type that came with the 6230, 3200 and similar Nokia's in the past. The only difference is the smaller pin which plugs into the phone's port.

one of my best nokia phones so far (only 2nd to my nokia 2626). love the design. mine is red and looks sleek in a pink silicone case. i manage to keep it scratch-free that way. the interface is very fast thanks to the series-40 3rd edition software. camera is not great but ok. just about the things i don't like about it are the average audio volume, average network signal reception, and below average battery life. i didn't charge mine for 24 hours nor do i let it drain until it's completely empty. these methods WERE recommended for the older NiCD and NiMH batteries. Li-Ion batteries works just as well after the 1st or 100th charge, and like to stay in at least 40% charge level. i recharge mine every time it reaches 2 bars and never let it empty. draining will actually shorten a Li-Ion battery's life. mine lasts a whole day sending about 100 sms and playing a few mp3s thru the loudspeaker. i only wish it could stay up for at least a couple of days.

anyway if u want a phone that has superb battery life and great network signal reception i'd say the nokia 2626 is best at that. mine lasts for 4 days at a full charge (and that's sending about 200 sms a day). it also manages to get at least 2 signal bars in areas where all my other phones would be dead (1110, 1600, 1112, 2310, 3110c, 6020, 6300, 7610, n73, v3... yeah i have had lots of phones.) and it's very cheap, too. i use it as my main mobile now as i don't want my 6300 to get old quick. ;)

                To WINURA:

I don't take risks when it comes to power sources. The fast recharge charger I now have is authentic Nokia. If you check the 6300 page on Nokia's site you will see it in the enhancement section

No matter how hard I use my phone it lasts me for an entire day. I certainly don't need any extra battery or need to walk with my charger.

There may be charges which you can charge the phone much quickly but, i don't recommend using any accessory which did not come with the sales package unless nokia can give a guarantee that its ok to do so. Since i'm experiencing poor battery life i'v bought a portable charger which is not bigget than a usb flash drive. also jst in case i bought an extra battery which i keep with me in case the battery wears off before i go home. might sound silly but it is a practical solution.

The 6300 takes a LONG time to charge with the charger which comes with in the sale package.

The AC-3 charger which comes with 6300 takes 2hr. 45mins. in standby mode and 2hr. 30mins. in OFF mode.

If you want the quickest possible charge get a AC-4 charge which takes 1hr. 15mins. to fully charge the 6300.

Generally it's a better phone. only the problem is the shortens of battery life.
