Hi,
Made by Nokia it means Produced in China. Nokia has a factory there. My 6300 is also Made by Nokia. It was perfectone but... It has a noice everytime when the display light is on. When it goes donw the noice dismiss. It is strange. It could be some lighting current leakage to the headset. I'm not glad anymore of that. otherwise the battery is great - 4 days nonstop playing with it. I don't like Nikia anymopre because of the service. Nobody could fix that noice. The answer was: factory problem.

NOKIA 6300 is awonderfull mobile which i have used.it has very good sound clarity,
slim body,landscape sreen etc...
but i want to know about the memory external(eg:memory card).if u never mind mail me the answer as fast as possible.

To WINURA:
100-150 worth of text messages will KILL any phone battery in a day. Not to mention you use a lot more features throughout the day.
Even my previous phone, 6230, which had an excellent battery life would get low after that many texts...and that is a phone which easily gave me over 5 hours worth of talk time!
For some reason text messages use more battery power than phone calls, strange but true.

It's good to see that you have decided NOT to listen to most of these people in here. If you follow them you would never get this phone and see the beauty of it.
Now to answer your question:
I gave my 6300 3 days worth of charging.
First charge was 24 hours.
Then I used the phone until the battery was completely empty, to the point where the phone wouldn't start up.
I charged it for 24 hours once more.
Then I used the phone until the battery was completely empty, to the point where the phone wouldn't start up once again.
Then I charged it for 24 hours one final time.
Then once again I used the phone until the battery was completely empty, to the point where the phone wouldn't start up.
A three day process got my battery in tip top condition. Those steps couldn't be any clearer.

Hi everyone!
I've bought this phone on July 2007 and so far i have no problems with it. The phone is superb. but i have to be honest as most of you have mentioned the battery gets discharged very quickly. But i have to say i'm a heavy user. even though i don't make long calls i send between 100 - 150 text messages on average per day. also i use almost everything in this phone. that means is features as well as the facilities which are provided by my network operator such as GPRS and MMS. The bottom line is This is a superb phone. Don't hesitate to buy it. the battery life is a bit poor BUT its very very good in every other way.

Well i guess you are the expert here. May i ask something? I'm planning to buy a 6300. I would just ask about the initial charging. Can you tell me step by step and in detailed information about the initial charging to assure good battery life? Thanks...

hey guys have a 6300 for last 4 months every thing was fine until today i dropped my fone on the carpet and i dont no it got all dusty inside the screen is full of dust and its really irratating cuz when theres a white background u can see the dust easily so is there ne way to get rid of it plz help asap

it depends how much you use your Phone, with heavy usage it will obviously die fast !! every phone does! even my W850i does 2 days with heavy usage!!
so lets face it, 6300 is a Nice Phone its Perfect Design, Great Features!
dont let the battery life put you off from it, every phone battery dont last long if you use it heavily!

Never accept word of mouth. Seeing is believing. Isn't 4 days of battery life good enough ? That's what I'm able to get with mine and I do MAKE quite a bit of calls.

Actually this is a attractive phone.but I want to know how do i activate its side bulbe.please be kind enough to tell if someone know.Mmm.m what about china made nokia?.are they fake or not genuine?..
my 6300's screen blinks when i make a call.but it stops suddnely.is this a trouble?.pleeese tell me if u know.
anyway this is a nice phone.

and it also comes in a pearl-white type colour. atm i think all colours are on back order so few places have it in stock.

since i read most of the comments that the battery really drains fast, i am not going to buy this. no way for a factory, design defect.

got this phone for a month now.. good design..very light.. but hate the camera, the phone shut down itself with no reason, yeah when ur talking, the phone get hot faster.. u really need a headset so it will not easily get hot, sounds quite good.. battery drains fast..
