Nokia 6500 classic

I have had (and still have some) the N95,N73,6300,6230i,K610i,K800i,Samsung P300, Samsung D900, many (at least 5) HTC smartphones etc... let's say that I have had many many many phones. It's kind of a crazy gadget lovers hobby of mine.
The 6500 Classic: this is a very nice phone, looks great and works really well, have used it to call, sms, mms , browse the web,email, bluetooth with my carkit, bluetooth with a headset,BT sync with PC, speakerphone etc... no problems so far.
I did have an issue with the phone not syncing with Outlook contacts - but this was solved by updating the pc software and the 6500 firmware. No problems now.
All in all a great little phone which by definition is not a "camera phone" per se - yeah sure the N95 and N73 take much much better photos - and yeah the N95 also has a built in GPS - so what? this phone is by definition an all around slim day to day phone.
So:
If you want a camera phone go for the N73, N95, K810i, K850i
Need a gps phone? - the N95
If you want a communicator with a dedicated keyboard go for the HTC or blackberry
If weight and thickness and size do not bother you then this is (the 6500 C) probably not the right phone for you as you can get the N73 for the same price (or lower) and it can do much more.
However - if you hate heavy and thick phones because they bother you and you want a nice, good looking slim sleek and lite phone, easy to use, friendly, for calls, sms's the odd email or web browsing (has 3G) and with a good bluetooth connection - then the Nokia 6500 classic might be your phone.
Pros: Slim, lite, good looking, easy to use, latest Nokia S40 OS (5th revision), has most of the features any phone would have such as calls, sms, mms, 3G UMTS, email, HTML web, bluetooth, speakerphone, good looking display, camera with flash
Cons: Camera is not great - it's not terrible but for sure not comparable to N73 or N95. No up down volume rocker switch (you control volume with the up/down joystick), no blinking led (no leds at all) - so you don't know if the phone is on or off, new nokia charging plug so car charger and older chargers won't fit - a real bummer, battery life not amazing (will last you a day or max two) and No video calls (not that I have ever done video calls on my other phones - apart from testing and seeing that it actually works).

i love this phone...... all the peeps goin on about the camera.... if i wanna take pics i use my digial camera

Well, the sufficiency of 1GB on this phone is subjective. Bottom line, for those of you who just need to change your wallpapers and music every now and then, and want a sleek "classic" looking phone, this is for you.
However, if you plan on buying a "lifestyle" phone, one that can do pretty much everything, this aint for you. This is a no-frills phone that trades features for size.

hi all , i know some of you dont like me :(
i just unsure of questions on nokias .
iv only tried to buy them and dont no lots about them .
i want help and you are mean ...
just one more question on this phone tho . i tried connedcting this to my macpc ... and it doesnt work , some one told me nokia dont work on mac so i tried my sony cable .... this made smok come out of my phone and computar :..(
it got black and sooty but i wont wash it kuz of ninos advice :D
by the way i dont have a bath ... its a shower , an electric shower ... would that make a difference ???
and P.S. you spelled under wrong :p
any advice on makin ma fone work again after the capatar braked it ???

I can't find the black list number (no screanning list) and i think it will be better to include the detail of message delivered for incomming message and outcomming message. Any way i like it. Can i download the virus software for nokia 6500c because i have found at my friend phone nokia 7610 include nortan antivirus. Thanks
