sami - O2 are only saying that to fob you off and try and make you take a higher plan. unless the customer has been with O2 for the year previous as then it is a upgradge and worked out on a individual clients ARPU. just say you have a better deal with Vodafone and they will suddenly change their mind about the lowest tariff!

I have a question, I heard that if you don't have a botox-injected slouch bag that matches the battery cover of the phone, then you can't switch from T-9 to manual text entry without going back to the main menu. can someone help me out? thanks.

Just phoned O2 and told them about your tariff, they said that the cheapest they could do that deal for with a free phone was £25 a month!!! Without any discounts it comes in at £35 a month.
The only way anyone could get it for less was if they had a deal with the likes of Dialaphone where they had to get cash back every few months bringing the equivalent monthly price down.

Good deal?
Just sorted this deal out with O2 for this phone-
Any time any network minutes = 600 a month
Text messages = 500 a month
Nokia 6500 Classic (in black ) = FREE
1st class delivery (be here tomorrow) = FREE
Cost = £20 a month for 18 months
I had been paying £15 for 200 mins and 100 texts on a 12 month contract.
Thanks

Bronze colour will not be available until February 2008. As is common with popular phones, it takes several months before the manufacturer releases the new colourway.
This way, it bolsters sales just when the initially released colourscheme model begins to die down in popularity.
It is a common tactic employed by all of the manufacturers, especially with a popular model. Most recently - look at the Samsung D900 and the red variant and the chrome variant, etc. Both colours were released many months (up to 6) after the initial release date.
In terms of paint coming off the aluminium of the 6500c. If you scratch any metal hard enough, the paint will come off. Surely logic tells you this, or have you never come across painted metal before???
And no, it has not flaked off. And no, my phone is still looking pretty much brand new after two weeks courtesy of me not putting into a pocket which is full of keys, change and other hard, pointy objects which are exactly the kinds of things which will remove paint from metal and put scratches everywhere...
It is pretty easy to keep your mobile in good condition. I have just sold a simply awful D900 which was 14 months old and still in excellent condition...

rzvwien,
6500c sound quality really very good(try before you buy!). I trashed my 8600 months ago ... it was a terrible phone! 6500c gets pretty hot during calls; but not as severe as the 8600.

When is the bronze version coming out?
anyone know a confirmed date?
Watchout for scammers on ebay. They will list it as a bronze & then later say they lost the shipment and try to send you the black one...

I have a nokia 8600 luna, a real nice phone, except the call quality. Before luna i have a 6300 and i was very happy with sound quality durring calls ( much much better then luna). So, owners of 6500, what about sound durring calls, because i want to change my 8600 because of this.

Noticed a couple of problems:-
1. This phone does heat up quite a bit(try to talk 15 mins. with it!)! No other brand heat up as badly as Nokia!(even Nokia customer service advisors admit to it).
Luckly, heat up is not as severe as the 8600 Luna...
2. The software of the S40 platform used on this phone cannot show call duration during a call ....they can ONLY show call duration AFTER the call is finished/ended!

Hi!
A question for all of u already having the phone. Took a look at it recently (the black one) and got the impression that it was just painted black on top of aluminium. That reminds me of the scheme used in the good old 8910i. Looked great in the box but like cr@p some months later, as the paint gradually came off. Could it also be the case here?

can you not put a memory card slot on a phone this expensive. that isn't amazing. nokia, this phone could have been great, but its not. also not all the features are that good.
i think the chocolate by lg is cheaper and beter in some fetures.
the choco has 1.3mp camera and flash, the nokia has 2mp camera and no flash!
there is little diffrence in image, both look great.
both have good battery life, and only diffrence is memory. but ther is a big diffrence in price, so i would say buy the lg, i love it.

No Memory card.. at least not that i know of... it was born with a Gig of Memory.. isn't that GREAT?? :)
Sony Ericssons are very innovative. I love the way you shake the phone and it changes the songs.... that is so cool. But for some reason there's something missing in their phone designs...(in my opinion)
This phone is just pure elegance. As i grow older i want something similar and "classic" can't do the bright flashy funky phones anymore.
btw, i'm 28 and GAY
