Nokia 6500 slide is a wonderfull phone i have this phone about 4 years and i still havet its very good i take the phone in 2004 because my father is in a fabrical phones

to turn off the camera shutter sound, press the soft camera key (start the camera). Next use the left hand button to select options, then scroll to the bottom to choose settings. In here you'll find the option to turn off the camera sounds.

Anybody know how to silence the camera shutter sound. It's pretty annoying and there seems like theres option to turn it off.

both mobiles are good but i fink if u wanna choose between 6500 and 5610 then go with 5610...else you can buy a nokia 5700 .. its much better than them..

I've own dis phone 4 bout 3month with 2gb memory dat is almost full n so far got no problem at all,never change ringtone n theme by it self,all is going ok.i LOVE N6500slide-s1!!!

No,dave, I meant that does it have nokia maps application with it? N95 has a built-in GPS receiver already, plus the application, many other phones have the app. only, so u can through the maps, but with no GPS, i.e. u need to buy a GPS receiver to use it like N95.
so, does it have Nokia Maps?! Question for anyone who has bought it, and thanks dave for replying :)

by mistake i have done restor factrory seting so I have lose all my contact name and notes so do I have chance to get back all of them?

it is a nokia classic very well made also nice and sleek and very versitile with excellent applications 9-10 for design and build

i think this phone is one of the best nokias ever made it is light slim and beautiful with a good camera amongst other features
