hey guys today i slid open one of those 6500 slide and to my surprise didnt see that the slide was scratching the keypad as some of u have written come on guyz any long term user of the phone plz tell me if hes had such problems because this is the only concern im having abt buying this phone plz tell me within 24 hrs plz

But will the quality of the phone be still the same as the original one? hp u reply me back again...

Nokia 6500 Slide is a phone that i would like have..... even though i'm using Nokia N95 8GB , but I prefer to use 6500 Slide cos it looks more stylo... I can sujest this HP to any one & I also going to have ons soon..

Cindy, 02 Jul 2008My younger brother entered a security code(digit not define... morei think unless you get the code your younger brother entered, you'll never be able to use the fone again unless you get the fone reformated. But to warn you in advance, the process would get your files deleted (files in fone memory only like the contacts, calendars, notes ect...), only the files in the memory card and your sim card would be spared.

Is there another software upgrade after version 6.60? Version 6.60 is rubbish.
Upgraded from 4.8 to 6.60 and phone operation became worse.Often times phone resets when playing videos or slow,freezing playback.Sliding sounds that used to get from some themes with version 4.8 are now gone.Anyone else experiencing these problems?

Hi all, just 4 days back i bave bought this mobile. I'm happy with its design, crispe sound quality, even camera picture quality and so many.
But i have some conserns -
1. my mobile not able to recevie call properly. It just gives a ring and gets disconnected. Even when im in call, it gets disconnected.
2. On some signal drop outs - profile gets reset.
There is no point in having so many features in a mobile when i doesnt satisfy the basic requirements of a mobile.
I would just like to know, will the s/w upgrede solves this problem. Please reply, Thanks.

when i recieved tis ph it was brilliant a week down the line it stared giving me problems,it freezers wen i put my memory card in i tink they NOKIA still has a alota work to do on tis ph.

i would like to say that i read most of the opinions some bad some gud but i think that the 6500 is a great fone and im going to try it out. i have decided that it might just be the fone i was looking for. thanks 4 ur good opinions nd advise.i now knw what to do if my fone gives me problems

Guys i've been using it for 9 month now
update the software and all problems vanish
it perfect it can even play Videos Vga@30fps of the n95 and higher camera is very good speaker volume is too high incall volume is super loud! the display is the best in the world trust me the best display in the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wat do u need more.. wats wrong with some freezes !!!! my pc hangs can't a mobile phone do !!!!!!!!!!!!heheheheheheheh

My younger brother entered a security code(digit not defined. Tried so many times to unlock the phone but as the security code is needed, i can't unlocked the phone as it requires the security code...Doesn't access even with 12345..Can anyone help me to unlocked the phone?

There are some poorly made 3rd party fascias, but why would you wanna change the cover? Those Chinese knock-off fascias are dirt. I wouldn't recommend them at all.
Yes...there is still some scratching of the keys. Just make sure to use the rubber strip when opening/closing your phone, & try not to put too much pressure on the phone while sliding it.
