its very nice phone very cute . my husband is using this phone. its sooooooooooooo cuteeeeeeeeee lovelyyyyyyyyyyy .i love its phone.

I have firmware V6.60 as well....I am guessing that you might have the Asian variant, & it might not have that option on the camera from what I have heard.
Just look underneath your battery & tell me what it says.

This fne is to die for if you can just play aroung with it you will see wonders that will amaze you....i wouls suggest that if you are thinking of buying or changing this phone.....then GO FOR IT ,,,,,and if you have but want to change it think again

bob, 20 Jun 2008I have tried doing what you have explained in order to turn... moreou can turn off camera sound. When you are in camera mode press "options"-"settings"-"camera sound". I also have firmware 6.60. It's there buddy.

Is it that i hit it when the auto focus is set or what? Even when i do that it still dont work. I cant find the turn off sounds option. Which makes me believe maybe we working with two different firmwares. Mine's 6.60

my battery lasts about a day and a half. i dont use my phone that much though. when i bought it, the lady said i can use it straight away, and when it goes flat, charge it for 8 hours.
did everyone do this, and does everybody have this problem?

Hi. Had this phone for a couple of months. Am really satisfied.
Great photos, video ok, records, email... so much possibilities.
But can someone tell me if its possible to change the resolution (a higher res.) for photos?

My 6500 slide wobbles a bit when slided up. Can this be fixed??? Its a bit annoying when I use the menu keys and the D-pad. Anyone with the same problem? Please reply. Thanks!

this fone is wonderful n superb camera with a 3.2 mp camera.this fone it's stainless steel casing and a user froendly interface is superb.i just can't get rid of this fone i have just sold it yesterday but i don't want it to be away from me that's why i am gonna buy it again.love nokia 6500

i bought 6500 slide.but something make me sad about it.when i take a picture make sound that i can turn it off.for other types of nokia i see a icon that give you option for changing capture tone condition(on/off).
if some may know solution i'll be glade for share with me her,his way.
