The N73anyday over both the g800 and 6500s except for the slow interface.
camera of both g800 and 6500s is bad compared to 3.2 n73's.
+n73 has comparitively better battery life.

I got this phone before one month. I think there is a problem with the phone. The people you are calling me are not able to hear me. Instead they are hearing their voice only. I dont know what to do. Can you please give me a solution.

my name is thasveur from nashua mobile, im in the cellular industry for the past 10years and iv bought the 6500s, personally i think iv made the wrong choice,, sound qaulity is bad, speaker distorts, keypads are delayed, music playa freezes, picture qaulity is dissapointing for a 3.2 , phone heats up when talking for long, wallpaper resets to default on its own,keypads get scratched when using slide, personally im dissapointed with nokia all round.the only thing that caught my eye to this handset was the stainless steel casing...

its a good mobile phone nokia should have intedrated wifi lan improve galary multitasting is the bigest disadvantage in all 40s.go for nokia 6233.

does anybody else have the problem with your hair catching in the phone?
When Im speaking on it and its slide open my hairs r always caught, Ive lost so many from pulling the phoen away, anybody else have this problem?

I have purchased the 6500 Slide in black through orange on a uk contract. I was used to using a N series but didn't need it as my employer has kitted us all out with shiny blackberry's.
I wasn't convinced at firstin the shop but having used it all appears well. Especially in black it appears a very minimalist design and much more discrete than the blingy silver/black combo. The problem with the pin and mem card slot is well recognised but manageable and really only afetcs the phone when the cover is removed and surely once as I have stuck in your card how many times do you need to change it over - my advice get a big enough card and you should be ok...
I know the case is not scratch proff but if it really matters buy a third party case. I only know one phone that is bullet proof for scratches and that is the 8600 and even then there is always a first time.
Overall - well impressed but early days, it is quicker than a s60 phone although not as powerful but I can run my sat nav on it with no bother Recommended - but if in doubt try in store before you buy, do the research and ask the questions then you won't get a lemon. Will update review after 6-8 weeks use

I can't seem to connect my phone to my PC. I have installed the PC Suite but when it asks me to connect the USB cable to my phone and after choosing the connection to cable it hangs I left it for almost 30 minutes is this a software problem?

NOKIAs dont have a timer during a call, there's only the option to show the duration AS SOON AS the call ends.
and nokia series 40 phones (such as this one) DONT support avi nor wmv, but by installing the software on your PC, the nokia PC Suite offer you to convert your videos in the format this phone supports (3gp video, and m4v or something like that)

i brough this phone yesaday i dont like it the sofewear dont the phone at all i took it back and got the sony k800i it is so much better

I had Nokia 6300 some time ago and had to take it back due to the fact that I had to charge it every day or phone went dead. Then I went with Sony Erricson W810i and had no problem with battery (stays for up to 4.5 days). Now I need to update the phone and I like Nokia 6500 Slide, but still remember issue with 6300, so
Few questions here:
1. How is battery life?
2. How often you charge your Nokia 6500 slide?
3. Does Nokia 6500 Slide die when the battery life near 15%? (Sony W810i will keep working even if battery is near 3% of its life)

just got this phone.. not bad but one real major problem.. is there any way of having a timer for the call duration while you're in a call? i know its probably been asked/answered before but too many opinions to go through.. plz someone let me know! =]

I have this phone and its awesome! However it cannot play avi or wmv, is there a software that enables it to play these video formats? This is important cos it can have a video ring alert.

1) Can you search a contact after another field than the first name ( like last name, nickname etc.)

its Nicely designed but when it comes to features its nice!
