Nokia slide phone is a nightmare to me. Always got problems with the slide ribbon.

Is it true that the keypad gets scratched by the slide mechanism? I saw pictures with the keypad scratched :((

your settings are default settings to phone memory change it to card instead

for those of you having problems with the default ring tones, SMS tones, & other default settings, I am guessing that you have the Asian version of the 6500 Slide.
I too, had the same problems, but the SIM card reader malfunctioned on my Asian version, so I sent it back & got a Euro version. The Euro version doesn't have the problem of going back to the default ring tones, SMS tones & other settings.
It might be fixed on the next firmware upgrade.

For a while I thot that I'd never expreience a prob with this phone not until I got a 'phone memory full" message after taking a picture of my room.Until,now I still don't know how to fix it.CAn somebody help?

Every 3-4 days my themes change back to the default as well which means i have to reset theme & ring tune etc.
This has a loud sound on ringing & its very loud & clear when you recieve a call & are talking.

While, taliking on the phone, how is the speaker , I mean is it loud enough, when you are in a noisy envirnoment.
Can you hear the sound clearly, plzz let me know.

bought n 6500 slide , good ph, BUT it has a problem that it wont keep the wall paper, or ring tone, after a period of time it reverts bact to original settings. i have now had 3 phs.
does any 1 know what to do.other than that the ph works really well

6500 is in the market n wow!! elegant design classic n i like slide..but anyway, is the sound quality good? i'm jz worried they've improve the cam wif carl zeis but degrade the music function..
another fon in my consideration is n81 whic is vr good looking but hey!!! 2mp cam wif no autofocus is unacceptable!!
now i'm choosing between 6500slide n n81..which one is better??? pls help me decide ya..

Im currently using N70 but i intent to get a new phone. am considering getting 6500 slide but my concern is, does MsVDriveE work on this model?

if you want good & decent Music Player you better get Sony Ericsson Products they so much better in voice quality...

FYI - there is no 'safely remove hardware option' when u connect to the pc via the pc suite software. the result: my phone can nolonger recognise the microsd card...GAY!!!
